If you bothered watching their earlier videos, Ty fixed all the known issues with the L45. But go ahead and make yourself feel better by putting other people down.
@Nickleg10 күн бұрын
@@btrotta "All the known issues!?" Have you seen the videos of the extensive "known issues" these vessels have!? The bulkhead to hull weakness, the front decking literally being held down by a few screws and some glue, that can, and has, failed while. Sailing in light seas!? These things have more issues than a bad mother in law.
@Nickleg10 күн бұрын
@@btrotta I did watch Ty work on the bulkheads, and while Ty appears to have strong abilities and skills, the consensus seems to be that the build quality of these vessels is terrible on verily important levels.

Why would anyone by a Lagoon 450 after watching all the videos on its construction flaws and problems.
@petermarsh576212 күн бұрын
At least the problems are known and how to address them and what to watch for.
@turipz11 күн бұрын
And unlike Leopard which tortures its victims (they call them "customers", but they turn them into victims) trying as much as they can to shrug away from their warranty responsibilities - Lagoon at least took responsibility and offered their customers (not victims) an easy course of action to survey their boats for cracked bulkheads and an easy process to have those fixed effectively and efficiently without dragging their customers through hell for years. I still don't think Lagoons are "real" boats - both Leopard and Lagoons are charter boats designed to be as cheap as possible, meant to be mostly motored around by people who aren't staying on them for more than 1-2 weeks a year.
@btrotta11 күн бұрын
The problems on D1 were fixed during their repair process. So there's nothing to worry about. I, as you should, congratulate the new owners and wish them many miles of happiness and memories aboard their new boat.
@kj59057 күн бұрын
Lagoons fix was just an edge cap so when you removed the easiest piece of trim it would look like a strong repair. The damage on those bulk heads goes further back and the most people think out of sight out of mind.
@geofferyrobertson660812 күн бұрын
what a shame , they buy the boat then straight away have to do repairs before launching it !!!
@WeAreOpen24-712 күн бұрын
It is a Lagoon 45, and they have been shown to be poorly built.
@stevemccormick493812 күн бұрын
There's only two operational states of systems on a boat: broken or about to break. This is a constant process.

Ty put it the kit from Lagoon after seeing some delamination, but after seeing the related issues with the hull and bulkheads along with the decking.. I wouldn't even sail on one without major inspections and retrofitting.
