I like how you talk about tires. Sounds like there was a lot of thought and experience put into the test, thank you

I appreciated the video. Thank you. It seems like no one wants to talk about weight. I know most of these entry level eMTB's seem to be around or over the 26kg mark, but it's still nice to know. I clicked on your link above for the written review and it lists the weight as 74kg. Must be a typo eh? Do you know the weight of the bike as tested?

Great review. Would love to see an XF review (Dual). I have an XTrada 5 with a recon 130mm fork but am maxing out on my rocky downhill terrain capability. I'm so interested in the Superior brand to level up my riding, Might be able to see some Superior bikes up close at a UCI marathon event.

Can we get a video with focusing on how it dips into epic Evo territory? I have to decide which bike to get. I keep hearing one bike for all trails but nobody is talking about how it does in the down country category.

Hi. Great review. I see you testing a large frame. Can I ask what height you are ? I am 1.81 and I the market for one and wonder whether a large may be slightly too small

Great video, really enjoyable review and easy to keep track if the comparison as you didn't get overly scientific. My misses is Aussie and I am looking to emigrate to North East Tazzy in the next year or two, really good to hear that you have such a awesome scene over there. Giz a job.

Thanks for this review I'm looking at getting a full suspension e bike and keep coming back to this particular model, it does seem to tick all the boxes for me but one thing I want to ask is can you still use it as a normal bike should the battery go flat mid ride? Probably a bit of a silly question but I've seen lots of comments elsewhere with a strong emphasis on battery life and it being pretty good. Thanks

You guys make me laugh with all these reverances to being like a motocross tyre you really need to go and have a look at moto tyres there are only two mtb tyres that kinda look moto ie the dirty dan and the wetsceam and why is there no mention of what the tyres are like to climb oh i know its pie eating shuttle riding i must be the only mtb er doing hardcore xc rides on wetscreams f and r .

Hi, have you by any chance tried the model with ABS which should be very similar to this one?

Great video. I admire your collective effort and wide range of tires and conditions you tested. I have only one complaint: on Schwalbe brand you made almost every mistake you can make. Instead of Hans Dampf and Tacky Chan in super trail casing - for enduro bikes you needed to test Magic Mary and Big Betty in Super gravity casing (and super soft compound). Try those, you will be amazed.

I have one in a large. With the supplied plastic pedals it weighs 28.8lbs. Which is about 2lbs more than advertised weight. I suppose with no pedals, and tubeless tires maybe that would get you there. Will be leaving a long review on Bikesonline once I get more saddle time on it.

With the smart system, please bare in mind that if you're connected to your smartphone, the battery will noticeably drain significantly faster.
@marcopaganotto9125Ай бұрын
Interestingly, from going from the Purion controller with a 500 wt/h battery to the Kiox controller and smart system with a 750 wt/h battery, I discovered that the smart system, especially when connected to your phone, uses a LOT more power. I initially thought that the 750 battery would give me a noticeable increase in range, but was sadly wrong! Sure it does give you some more range, but definitely not around 30% more as I thought it might. Disabling the phone link, and not using the App, immediately saved significant power too. And on the subject of the App, if you're using a derestriction chip or something similar, the bloody App will detect the tampering and mess up your ride, not something you want to find out after a 14 hour shift.... Thanks Bosch, it's not enough that I've paid you thousands of pounds, no you still want to be in control!

I'm 42 and have been mountain biking my entire life. I own Scott bikes (Genius,Spark) with 150x150mm/ 120/120 travel and Specialized carbon Stumpjumpers, 140x130mm that I primarily ride right now. I've had a lot of bikes so far 6x the cost of this one. I would buy this in an instant! It is basically a mountain biker's gravel bike, and the full Shimano groupset is a dream. Put an XT shifter on it and set it tubeless after those tires are worn out. Those old school XC geometry numbers will be trending again, mark my words 😁 . My theory is that some people who want an e-bike and are healthy and young actually want something like this but don't know it. Cheers from Switzerland

Easy to install? In what world ahaha their pretty much the hardest thing u can do to your bike I work as a bike mechanic and they take 30 mins- 2 hours per tyre once their on they do their job but NOT EASY
@AustralianmountainbikeАй бұрын
Is this your experience with Tannus or another brand? Agreed that some tyre inserts are VERY hard to install. It can change with different rims/ tyre set ups as well.
@Dizzykennedy378Ай бұрын
Bro what does it do? It’s a glorified noodle in your tire to prevent the rim from getting whacked? We know those don’t work when it matters anyway, but the main issue I have with this system is that it’s loose in the tire. Cushcore is secured over the rim, holding my tire in place and allowing it space to ride like intended, just with a volume spacer for damping or whatever, but also helping hold it to the rim. This is that, but with a less intentional form that I could see affecting your grip. Tires are so good these days you don’t need either of those anyway. GAH I guess I needed to get that out. Yap yap
@Mtber_420Ай бұрын
Would you still use sealant or is this to try and replace that?
@moomyaАй бұрын
I'd guess you still would need sealant. I think it's just to protect the tyre and the rim
@Valentin359Ай бұрын
Yes, you still need a sealant. So that another +100g. Now your tubeless wheels weight more than ones with tubes 😂
@marm73359 күн бұрын
@@Valentin359The point of tubeless is not to reduce weight, it's to reduce pinchflats when running lower tyre pressure. I got a pinchflat when going up a ramp once, ever since then I never run tubes, my personal preference...
