After more than two years of owning the Polygon Mt Bromo N8 ,predecessor to the Collusus N8, I can only speak highly of how great this bike is to ride. Polygon has addressed the only weak point ,the 504Wh battery ,with a 630Wh upgrade . This bike represents great quality and value for the everyday mountainbiker. Positive review, thanks. Martin

Great review m8. How tall are you? Did you get on with the large alright?

Ryan is 178cm - he expected the reach to feel quite long but in the end it was very balanced and spot on. The steep seat angle really keeps you in the middle of the bike and helps keep the front loaded and not wandering, which can be an issue for many long/slack bikes.

I have been riding a small size N8E for a couple of months now, and only have one dislike about it. The water bottle space is too small the fit a Fidlock water bottle in there instead, because I get too much dust on the mouth of the bottle, where-as the Fidlock has a cover (I have one on my T7). I love the way the N8E rides and how it soaks up everything on the trails, and the brakes are amazing, but also still enjoy the way the small size T7 on 27.5" wheels is so playful.

Have you looked at some of the bottle mounts like those from WolfTooth? They're great at moving a cage to a different position. The top tube may look kooky but it would work (and get less dust)

I really don't think anything would fit in that area on the small frame@@Australianmountainbike, everything is so tight

I'm currently riding a upgraded T7 and am looking and getting a ebike. It's down to the Collosus n8e and the Norco Sight VLT c2. Both very similar spec, same motor, similar travel etc. I ride a bit of everything, open flowery trails, techy rock trails, I'm not overly confident in jumps just yet but am building up to it. Help me decide!

Easy - the motor. The Norco is a great bike as well, certainly more planted with a longer back end. But the N8E has the EP801 motor which has a higher peak power (600W) and the newer hardware for the head unit and mode selector. While upgrading motors is possible, it is financially ludicrous so we'd recommend being lead by that.

Hello, I have a problem with chose: this Polygon, or Trek Rail 5 Gen 3. Will You help?
@Australianmountainbike
@Australianmountainbike 4 ай бұрын
They are quite different bikes in a way. The Rail is slightly shorter travel (about 10mm per end) and likely better as an all-round trail/all-mountain eMTB. The Polygon Collosus N8E is longer travel and has a burlier suspension and brake setup as well. Both bikes use excellent eMTB systems, but I would base your decision on how you are going to be riding.

I hope you had an extra water bottle for your dog, the poor bugger! Looks like a nice bike, but $8K, I wish I could but I won’t.

The pup gets very well looked after - don't worry about that. It is actually on sale for $6999 at the moment, but likely just for a short time. Far from pocket change but that's incredible value!

Wow 57 lbs.. but if it helps you climb that weight then who cares

exactly - there are plenty of lighter eMTBs out there, but they may not be built for such burly riding, or they may cost twice as much. So... we all make our choices.
