In my mind, Richard Harris was and will always be the best Dumbledore. Michael Gambon is also great, but Harris portrays perfectly the gentle nature of Dumbledore, while still adding small hints of mischief and sillyness. I think he got it so perfectly close to what Dumbledore is like in the books. Would have been interesting to see what he would have done with the films after Chamber of Secrets. RIP Richard Harris.
