The (real) Vikings were preparing to play the Buffalo Bills. A photograph of Mr. Gilliam, in all his regal coolness, smoking a large cigar, covered the top portion of the Minneapolis’ newspaper sports section. The headline of the article, quoting Mr. Gilliam, read, “OJ, smojay.” ...hero...

I thought by now we would have 400lb lineman!!!! Seeing as I first saw perry play in 1981!!!! Which was 43 yrs ago!!! I guess humans have a functional weight limit.

Great man as well. He was able to come back again this year for our event. Alway's gracious and a great supporter of the new annual honorees.

I still believe he was a Great Big Man with athletic abilities that smaller players didn't process! His stop of Iron Head Hayward Bears vs New Orleans needing only a yard on bad knees showed me his strength and agility to split both blockers and stop Iron Head a yard behind the line of scrimmage! I don't think anyone else could've made that play! I'm glad the Bears drafted him and was part of that Great "85" Bears Defense!

You have that right, but this was old footage from Clemson, no audio is a weird thing to give a thumbs down on. Enjoy the highlights of William Perry! 🤷🏻‍♂️

People use to come from all over campus when they heard Fridge was diving in the pool. A sight to behold I hear.

Met him in the Anderson mall when he was at Clemson. He shook my hand and asked if I was a Clemson fan? I told him actually I was a gamecock fan. He said that's it stand by your team as long as you love football. Very nice to me and I will always remember meeting Mr Perry 😎

The Fridge was a legit freak of nature. A lot of people looked at him as just a space eater because they see his weight and his belly hangin out. But that dude was a SPECIAL athlete!

Vince Dooley had undersized players. I think certain circumstances made Dooley using that excuse. His lack of background is very mysterious. He should be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

This QB Steve Fuller was Drafted to my KC Chiefs in 1979. He only had 1 good year with the Chiefs the 1981 season they went 9-7 that year. At least he got a SB Ring with the Chicago Bears in 1985 as a backup. Congratulations to you Steve. Go Chiefs! I've been a Die Hard Chiefs fan since 1999 since I was 7 years old
