after our independence black people were kind of erased from books cos everybody was included in the mexican name. So after that period everybody is known and named mexican. But, there was a plan of whiten the mexican population during the porfiriato thus there's no much information about our black root in official history books after the mexican independence. However, the black mexicans like all the population is mixed race and some traits remain in the general population like hair but most people ignore it. Also you can trace the influence of african culture in our food, folklore and dances. As mexicans we don't have problems like in USA about the name negro nor other stuff related to black root, like being racist with black people just because. We have music and poems that use the word negro cos it doesn't mean anything bad it's just a colour. But the ignorance in the general population about this root has brought some problems to this part of the population cos they've faced situations where police don't believe they're mexicans but from other country in South or Central America (this happened to some mexicans from those towns when they traveled outside Mexico and they're coming back home). There's is racism in Mexico but is more against indigenous groups, and clasism is more prevalent than rascism. If you want to learn more about this part of our history you may contact some people who's doing reasearch about it at the universities like in the UNAM. cheers!

I travel internationally alot and I'm a Black American, in America we have been brainwashed to think only in terms of Black people and White people. When you leave America you find out quickly that is NOT how the World thinks, I have been to Egypt and not one identified as "Black " anything, they DO NOT identify with Black people at all !! Most say they're Arabs or Africans, in fact the Africans DO NOT identify themselves with Black Americans either !! We have to understand you are whatever country you're from and what family lineage!! Look at a map of Africa from 1747 and earlier, it was called Negroland and at the bottom it shows the slave coast. The Tribe of Judah camped there and they were the people who were enslaved and brought to America on slave ships in chains, Deuteronomy 28,29,30. All of Africa was NOT enslaved and there were other Black skinned people already here in America when they arrived, and not connected to each other. Also in the Zondervan Bible Dictionary it states that the Negroes (Black Americans whose ancestors arrived by slave ships), are NOT from the same family lineage as the other darker races including the Egyptian, Ethiopians, Libyan and most Africans!!! We have got to stop thinking people are your "brothers" because their skinned is like ours, most DO NOT like us.

I’m Nubian, I don’t really dwell on originality, there is no superiority on black over white or white over black, Arab over none Arab or none Arab over an Arab but, by Tagwa. Alihamdulilah.

@Czechineffect THE TITLE OF THIS VIDEO IS FALSE AND MISLEADING!!! BASICALLY INCITING VIOLENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE SOME RESPECT TO THESE COMMUNITIES!!!.. THEY'RE RECOGNIZED, THEY LIVE, FREE, HAPPY, NON VIOLENT LIVES ETC... MEXICANS DO NOT PARADE NOR BELITTLE THEIR AFRO MEXICAN CITIZENS. THEY LIVE JUST AS THE NATIVE MEXICANS DO, IF THEY HAPPEN TO BE A SMALL COMMUNITY L, THAT IS THEIR RIGHT. I DIDN'T SEE ANY FIGHTING, DISRESPECT, NOR THE NONSENSE THAT IS INTERNACIONALLY SEEN FROM AFRICAN-AMERICANS IN THE U.S. BUT TO SAY, THEY'RE NOT RECOGNIZED IS AN OFFENSE, SIR.

18:27 the other guy was telling the taxi driver to turn on the AC in the car and not asking about a commission… Mexicans don’t usually like turning on the AC but I’m guessing that the guy knows tourist love the AC on and that’s why he was reminding him to turn it on.

Individuals interviewed were not bothered when asked to give a message to the Hatian people but I don't know bro, if I am a hatian person in Haiti I am looking for something tangible to go along with that message. I know Haiti is a hot topic but c'mon now you tryna get likes and cool points at a time when haiti is not at its best.
