Nice. question how to put a guitar solo part while playing rythm simultaneously in a video? I see this in guitar cover videos. for example: a guitar cover. playing rythm and then when its time to solo a small screen will appear and there you play the solo part. While simultaneously playing the rythm part in the background. There is no interuption. Then when the solo part is done the small screen where you play the solo's dissapper also. How do you edit this? put them together (rythm guitar and solo) in a guitar video flawlessly. Some guitar videos when its time to solo the whole screen change and occupied just for the solo part. Is that video layering? And then goes back to the original (playing rythm). Its alot harder to record and play songs in one take both rythm and lead although it can be done, but there's interuption. Why does every asshole these days play and wiggle their guitar after ringing out a chord or sumthin? Especially when using tremolo or vibrato, its already doing the effect. No need to wiggke your guitar

Ok, this one does sound good. But, I've just been using the free Amplitibe/Tonex stuff for the amps into Logic Pro's stock cabinets. Amplitube has good amps but bad cab IRs. Logic has bad amps but very good cab IRs. Put them together, and you're cooking.

Do you have any experience of these needing volume turned up from the guitar? Garcia used an OBEL to solve this issue so he could adjust his volume without losing the pedal's sensitivity and response. Do you know of any other solutions to this?

Nice work! Love that soulful jazzy sound. I find the tone quite acceptable before compression and overdrive, where you don't get any grit going into the filter. So there's nothing between the guitar and the filter 😊

Bro, the envelope filter adds volumen or body? Cause I got the mxr bass ef and it sounds a little boost when I turn on. I use the rc booster then the Duellist and at the end the filter before mods and delay and reverb.

The first time I I saw an envelope filter in a video clip was Edward Collins a girl like you early nineties. I was buying pedals and wanted that sound but the pedal he used was 400 $. Now I can buy one for 35$.

why are you using logic if we can directly set the sound card as input in Zoom?

Useful comment about overdrive on a clean amp, as I was impressed by the boost, but underwhelmed by the overdrive. So much so that I wasn't sure it was working properly. I'm guessing that vids with a great overdrive sound are using other overdrive pedals or overdriven amp

Out of the 8 guitars i own 5 have a single pickup.. 2 tom delonge style strats with an invader pickup.. an epiphone coronet with a new yorker single pickup.. a double cut les paul junior with one p90 and a tele style with a single hunbucker.. i dont know why but they just sound better.. its basic and pure rock/punk.. i mainky play rhythm with few solos.. so suits my needs perfectly.. nice video..

Good video. But I think you should have gone over phase alignment when using both a direct and miked signal. You will get frequency loss while mixing if you don't zoom into the transients with phase alignment software. The miked signal will be off because of the tiny amount of time it takes for sound to travel to the mic, compared to the pick-up signal.

All the high gain amps sound absolutely awful. Wth some added plugins you can make them sound a little decent but overall they're rather useless. Apple really needs to step up and move into 2024 with their amp sims

I know I'm two years late, but I'll give my two cents. I don't think anyone actually thinks specific gear will make them sound like their guitar hero, even as a beginner I knew an EVH phaser wouldn't make me sound like EVH because I didn't even know tapping. Not to argue against technique and feel, but I also think you're going to want similar, hopefully cheaper, gear if you are trying to 100% nail the sound/tone. Like if you were in a Van Halen cover band, you're going to want to have a phaser. Of course, getting Eddie's techniques down is first and foremost, but, to me, it would be like trying to recreate Van Gogh's Starry Night, but not letting yourself use the color yellow. You could still make an amazing recreation, but it wouldn't be quite the same, if it was even possible to recreate in the first place. To me there is no singular thing that dictates tone, one way or the other. Just keep playing. I think having fun is the most important.

So i just got a notaklon but before that I had a soul food and sold it for a duke of tone, but I realized i liked the way the klon style pedal sounded into my Suhr Eclipse much more than the duke of tone does. I think by itself though I still do prefer the klon type pedal over the duke of tone. I like to set the gain around noon for a low gain sound.
