It is french, one composer if from Montreal (Luc Plamondon) and Michel Berger (France) As for his more contemporary stuff, check out "when i've got you" blues-pop video I believe he made a little wink to Michael Jackson's thriller there.

OK Autotune is used by the industry to sell pretty artists that cannot hold a note... Now, "their is not a singer who doesn't use autotune!!!" Really how ignorant of voice you are... GO down to your local opera house and tell me which singers are using autotune... especially since there are no mikes... some magic I suppose... your opinion crafted on dealing with barely or poorly trained vocalists has given you a ridiculous viewpoint... Lose it. You got a sub and like because some of what you said makes sense but barely...

Dimash is singing SOS by Luc Plamondons a French-Canadian lyricist which he wrote in collaboration with the composer French Michel Berger. The rock opera is called Starmania, and includes SOS about an “earthling" in distress.

The words in French are just not the same than the original song, he makes a lot of mistakes, he just have to lurn to speak french, but he have the voice of an angel, I forgive him... The original song is " SOS d'un terrien en détresse". 😅

Wonderful! Thank you for your reaction, it is greatly appreciated. May I suggest you to take a look to : The story of on sky. It is better to watch the movie first, without to analyse too much to voice. Stay focus on the story and the meaning of his message. After that, watch him live at the Almaty Concert. He did it on a live version for the first time. It is absolutly amazing to see him delivered his message with so much power and conviction. That is my suggestion! Thanks again and have a great time!

friend, new follower from Argentina. If it's true, you take too many pauses but I understand that it happens when something impacts you. To what I came to write, if this video and his performances impacted you, when you see his masterpiece you will fall on your ass. "the story of one sky", I recommend that you do not pause that video so much, since the images tell you the story and the music and his voice give meaning and emotion to that master class of narration. A hug, I hope you can react to that soon, I will be waiting for it.

I love how enthusiastic you are because it takes me back to long tipsy nights with friends trying to describe the intangible hair-raising adrenaline fueled reasons we love the music we do. From where you are down under, to where I am in the states, carry on.

Greetings from Spain! A while ago I saw some of your videos about Dynazty and Amaranthe (I loved your reactions). Checking them, I see that you have been out due to health problems: I hope everything is much better now! You probably have a thousand requests and pending tasks, but here I leave some more :) I would really appreciate it if you reacted to "The white" and "Yours" by Dynazty: in addition to the well-known quality of all the members, I think the vocal part of both songs is truly crazy. Thanks a lot and take care!

Dimash is a genius! A great storyteller and paradigm breaker! Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality... Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is: A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures. Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing... The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details. As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone! The music video is a story that pays homage to several classic dramas involving supernatural creatures and passion! The impeccable editing with precise cuts that complete the script, simple and extremely efficient effects and masterful performances: Dimash (the seductive and tormented vampire, Polina Guzieva (the passionate journalist), Manuel de Jesús Sánchez Sotolongo (the sinister butler) and the harem of soulless vampires (Angelin Sapozhnikova, Valeriya Lyasheva, Andreana Tkachenko, Maria Aristatarkhova, Lilia Kiser and Klinnyushina Alina), superb! The music is a show in itself: a mix of Blue, Scat, Jazz, R&B, Rock... Captivating variations: a bridge to the chorus full of strength and seduction and a beautiful chorus inspired by classic rock and dexterity and Dimash's agility! In addition to the well-placed guitar solo performed by Abik Jeksen! The video captures and captivates from the beginning to the sign, which we let pass while still mesmerized by the “spell” of the vampire who can break the fourth wall! A giant, masterful, modern work that makes you want to watch it several times! 1000 out of 10! Hugs from a Brazilian!

Saluti from Italy 🇮🇹

For something more lowkey I recommend "Omir", for which he also wrote the lyrics. He recently uploaded a live performance of it(ft. his little brother on guitar) that you might like. And for something more insane I recommend "El Amor En Ti", it's also an original composition (but since it's in Spanish there's other lyricists, he's always involved with the message though).

The first time I heard him sing, I couldn't understand the language, but I felt it in my soul. He moved me so much SOS was the first song. The way he moved his expression it felt like he was singing a love song. When I feel not myself I listen to SOS and it brightens my day. I love his music. Thank you Sir Dimash

I believe, given the breadth of his education, the perfection he strives for and seems like he's one of those very special people that's a voracious learner and creater. A person that needs not only to perform but to understand how everything he's doing works and is done on an in depth level. For example, on the first episode of I Am Singer, one of the producers or composers that was working with Dimash said he was surprised and very impressed at Dimash's depth of understanding of composition. Of course, this is because one of his many college degrees is in composition. So he has an advanced understanding of how a specific order or jump in his key and notes will help him convey a specific feeling or pace on a unconsciously so there's more enjoyment. I understand why he wants his audience to just enjoy his music rather than focus on how high or low he's singings. The problem with US (NOT HIM) is that the vast majority of us have never hear a singer who has worked so intensely and with so much self-discipline to learn something new and to perfect his technique! Please people, let's be honest, if you had the range and technical capability and stage presence that Dimash has worked decades for, would you not try to stretch yourself and bring happiness to your audience? Very very few people practice as much and with so much discipline *as I say so often) but it makes me excited to see what comes next as he he continues to grow. I'm sure he has enjoyed learning so much from Igor Krutoy as well. As his knowledge, style and nusicality grows and changes I really feel we are blessed to have found such a unique singer and performer. BTW, given that he's spent so much time in New York and Los Angeles meeting important people and learning better pronunciation of English. Let's please give him a lot of props in his ability to learn English from his language. Can you imagine one of us Americans trying to learn the accurate and beautiful pronunciation of Chinese, Armenia, more Chinese and Hong Kong songs?! Let's give this man credit where credit is due!!! Sorry so long, but please, let's all really see how much work it takes for Asian cultures to pronounce American English extremely well. I'm a neuroscientist so I truly understand how difficult it is for different sizes of nerves to innervate a multitude of nerve fibers and to control their spread, sound different sizes of muscle masses and sounds.
