Every non-rich people with a standing desk face the same issue with the countertop depth because the price goes up like crazy once you go beyond 63.5cm lol (shoutout Ikea)

I feel the UPS recommendation. In my country, even though power outages are not that common, they do happen a few times for a while each month, sometimes more. I invested in a UPS just for my studio display and digital Piano, so that is a very very good advice. Also, very cool editing bro ✌

1:36 or be me and play on decently high sens and 2K DPI. I've never felt wrist pain from gaming on my PC. I've felt more from the weight of my steam deck trying to play laying in bed or on the couch.

7:44 I could not stress that enough to friends of mine. I don't have the most expensive chair in the world, but switching from a cheap wood dinner table chair, to a really cheap regular office chair, and finally to an ergonomic office chair made for long office hours which cost me about $250 was the best decision I made when getting my first proper chair. I also cannot recommend mesh more, especially on the sitting portion. I've never had a sweaty ass or back again even on the hottest summer days since switching to my all mesh chair. It's held up extremely well over the last 5 years as well.

I have two more to add: first, if you are righthanded, get a keyboard with the numpad on the left side or get one without a numpad and consider getting a standalone numpad so you can place it left of that. When you have your numpad to the right of your keyboard, you have to move your mouse unnaturally and uncomfortably far to the right so it doesn't crash into your keyboard. second, consider using the Gnome Desktop Enviroment. You know how Mac and Windows look and function very differently, with different approaches to task bar, start menu, top window bar and so on. Gnome is a third approach that is different from both. Personally I found that navigating my mouse down to the task bar and there sniping a relatively small icon takes a lot more focus and more time than gnome's approach. in gnome you press the windows key and all your open windows get shrunken down so you can see them all side by side. then you can click the window you want and they all go back to their original size. this is a lot easier and faster than to go to the task bar. when you use two monitors, it also allows you to move fullscreen videos and applications from one screen to the other without exiting fullscreen! And its virtual desktops give you a very simple way to organise your desktop if you have too many windows open. Highly recommend! The "downside" is that it's only available on Linux, but for a lot of usecases, Linux works just as well if not better than windows, so unless you rely on for example Adobe programs, switching to Linux should not be an issue.

Was this a sponsored video? You seemed to recommend expensive products when there are much cheaper versions that do the exact same thing. The wrist rest and light bar were far too expensive for what they are.

Infinite scroll wheel...... Have you ever heard of the following buttons: page up, page down, ctrl+end and ctrl+home?
@oes2546
@oes2546 8 күн бұрын
I'd rather take a superlight mouse with a shape I like than an infinite scroll wheel though. I for example stopped using my MX Master even though it had one, because the shape, weight and sensor wasn't really good when it came to precise, fast and ergonomic pointing, which is the main job of a mouse after all. Scrolling comes secondary. Often I can use the middle-click plus drag to get to the bottom of a page just as fast anyways, even though it's not the same.

Too bad the infinite scroll wheels are heavy and on the actual worst shaped gaming mice possible.
@MoundN
@MoundN 10 күн бұрын
You're already wrong at the first product, lets see how it continues. 1.Infinite scrollwheels are a gimmick and no good mouse has also inifnite scrolling and for a reason, its useless bc its not a hassle to scroll a few times bc you have more precision. 2. i guess, if your wrist hurts u get a rest but you dont need a piece of plastic that bites into your skin for fucking 40 dollars, instead just buy a silicone cushion and keep being a wrist player if you are a wrist player. 3 and 4 are agreeable but thats like saying "did you know that if you breathe every now again your body will be more healthy?" Yeah that's bc breathing is a key ycomponent of living much like how having the monitor at the correct eye level and having a 2nd monitor is. 5. monitor lamps are useless. you have a huge ass "monitor lamp" inside your room, wanna know what it is? your fucking ceiling light, just dont game in the dark and have ur light on. 6. Yes we've already talked about prodccuts that are pretty much 100% neccessary for any desk setup, its pointless to talk about something everyone likely already as. 7. This point is about personal preference, its not actually better, its better for YOU. Moving on. 8. so basically: if you get one for free you should get one. nice one. Its uneccessary and heavily limits your choice on desks since not all desks are motorised. if you find a desk you like visually and it is motorised good for you but youll still break the banks bc they are insanely expensive, hard pass especially considering you generalise this on a broad audience. people usually have healthy habits of moving every once in a while rendering the benefits of a standing desk useless in most cases. 9 again. beeating a dead horse here. YES ERGONOMICS MATTER AND USING PRODUCTS THAT DONT STRAIN YOUR BODY WHILE PLAYING FOR LONG ARE GOOD, EVERYBODY FUCKING KNOWS THAT AND USES SOMETHING THAT IS ERGONOMIC WHEN THEY CAN AFFORD IT. Its less about people not knowing about it and more about people not being able to afford a chair in that caliber bc they almost always cost way more than the industry standard. 10 You're overdramatic, Yes power outages CAN kill components but its VERY unlikely. almost every device has failsave components that allow the circuit to shutdown in an instant should the system detect sudden powerloss. the chance that this fails and a component suffers damage of it are VERY unlikely. its pretty much uneccessary. Great you made 9 min video talking about esssential upgrades while 4 products are non negotiables and pretty much on every setup while you were wrong in the other 6 cases.
