honestly, i prefer this free version compared to mizu voip free "ransomware" version. Mizu had continous popup message windows every 3 seconds if you exceeded the licence limits.

Before voip, i had POTS phones and 2 pbx units crosstrunked. For free version, which is limited to 3 users; ... I recommend setting up 2 separate pbx vms, each having 1 extensions (lets call it 608 - pots system 601 thru 608 ext.s) for the paired server to connect its trunk. So VM1 Trunk connects to VM2 EXT ("608") and VM2 Trunk (like so) connects to VM1 EXT ("608"). That leaves 2 ext users per vm to connect your phones or other devices. Just make sure you setup call routing is configured to access trunk. (pots pbx used 9 or #71)
