@thedizispell - Nice job on the edit!! I felt similarly watching the 36 episodes of YC. Seyran should have left Ferit, who was a jerk from the get go and became possessive, jealous and controlling during the forced marriage. It was hard to like him. Then, he did eventually change when he started falling in love for the first time. He tried to mend his ways but she didn’t trust him, causing more fights between them. I came to the same conclusion as you, Ferit was part of a toxic environment, his family, abd didn’t know how to love in a healthy, mature way. Neither did Seyran because she, too, has her own trauma from her violent household. Ultimately, they both arrived at a place of mutual love and that was rewarding, although the last scene of the final episode was devastating. I’m perplexed by the ending. Now what direction will the writer take in season 2? More of the same?? That’s untenable. It wouldn’t surprise me, though. Both families need psychological help stat!! Bravo on your edit 👏
