Both Torches are made cheap. i rather make one myself from Brass , Bronze and 4140 Steel, solder the two tube joints and install propper hoses !

I reckon alot of people will look at you when you wear your Akubra, they will think you look cool. I was somewhere in California in June last year for a holiday. Loved the cars there. Mustangs were everywhere !

I hardly ride at this moment in time. And yes, there are many things I did against the text book on this ride. It's great that I get called out for it. Just knowing that people are aware of things that will help them be the best they can.

Personally, I like a radically distorted brim. Low in front and back with an extreme dip from the sides. You can just cut out the the inner leather band with a sharp knife if it shrinks. I don't like how the leather feels against my forehead, so out it goes. I also get rid of the outer band and add my own.

Yo cuz William! Sorry for the late reply. Raceseng makes great weighted shift knobs. If you’re after a smoother one to shift gears you should check out the Ashiko models

To be honest, I don’t know how a drone really sounds. However if I’m going down hill on 3rd gear, at about 60kms, there is an annoying sound. Apart from that, nothing is annoying.

My Honda monkey battery came ready to install but my Yamaha battery came with vials of liquid to pour into the cells and needs to be fully charged before install. I have the Honda hooked up to tender til I will install it and the Yamaha just sitting there and will charge after I add the water

Hi. Sorry for this delayed reply which is a full year later. Tonight I rode with it and it’s still like brand new. The zippers are still strong even when I tuck my jeans inside it. The glue for whatever uses it is still holding everything right after all these years of garage storage. Nothing has fallen apart and still like brand new. However I have not wore it as much as it should. So have that in consideration of its quality. If I were to repurchase this shoe, I would defiantly. Maybe a newer model but with the same brand of course. Because the glue hasn’t broken apart like some cheap sneakers would.

I went to the battery store and asked the shop assistant. And he checked this out for me. Maybe if you call a store and ask them what they have that would fit the 2017, and search to get one online if you think its worth it.

Hi there, what speakers did you install in the doors? I have a set of focal ec165k that I want to install but wondering if they will fit. Did you use a bracket or adapter?

Hi , sorry for the extremely long reply. You have probably installed your speakers already by now, i only just clicked on this video and found your comment. The door speakers Ive used are the Flax Evo PS 165 FSE and I had someone from America made a board for me to connect the speakers to the door, so it did not interrupt with the windows when wound down. I purchased a plastic bracket before, but that was hopeless and didnt use it at all.

Im not sure. If you can ask a battery shop, maybe they have a program to find out which battery would suit your bike.

The battery was fried. So if it was jump started and worked, once the bike is turned off, it won’t turn on again.

I keep mine on a hat stretcher when I am not wearing it, especially if it gets sweaty or wet. It never shrinks. Sometimes when it's wet, I just leave it on my head until it's dry.

Sorry for the late reply, a year later.... Yes I do, however its out of order. It doesnt start even if I replace the battery. I think the fuel stuffed it up. Also the mechanics of the handlebars ie, throttle, and what not is broken. I left it covered under awning for many years, and its unusable. Maybe one day I will get it serviced / repaired to get it back up and running again.

Only thing you would get out of the new r3 is the front fork set and the new fairings. If you were so inclined you could swap the new front forks over to your bike.

I would suggest titling this a vlog or “work and chat” or whatever because it is likely to have a lot of people hoping it’s a tutorial/guide that includes the tools and sizes needed etc

Thanks. The R3 is a really smooth bike. And just to add in my opinion, I have hardly ridden it, and I have changed its oil once so far. And to replace the battery, the start up of the bike sounds just like it did brand new. Enjoy your riding !

Hi , iam ex owner of 2018 Cb 125e , I had new , and rode it 4000kms and sold it by getting annoyed, by the cam chain rattling noise , I thought it was tappet adjustment getting lose every time , and it was not every time , only certain times , sadly I found out after selling the bike that main culprit is AUTOMATIC CAM CHAIN TENSIONER, u can use small flat screw driver and tune it by starting the bike until the sound goes off , or else u can change MANUAL CAM CHAIN TENSIONER , hope this tip may get handy for anyone who read this . Thanks

Just a bit of advice to all who want to purchase an Akubra. If you can go to a shop to have it fitted, go to a shop. I went to a shop to try some out. In my mind I was leading towards the Cattleman or Territory hat. When I tried it on it didn’t suit. The shape of my head meant the hat was sitting too high, almost 2cm above my ear. When I tried the Coober Pedy and the Riverina it sat so snug due to the shape of the tip of the hat it surprised me. Just thought I would pass on my experience.
