Aww thank you so much! I love seeing various renditions of The Nutcracker as well.💕 For the parts, we had auditions every year (at the beginning of September), and then they'd put up our names next to each role on a huge board several days later😊

バレエって白鳥の湖のイメージしか無かったんだけど、普通の衣装を着て踊るのもあるんだね。小さい頃のメロディさんもとても可愛くて手足が長いー！ それと、いつも思うけどメロディさんの日本語がお世辞じゃなく全くアメリカ人だと分からない。外国人が独学で到達出来る日本語のレベルじゃないと思うから相当努力されたんだなと。 お話の中でもリアルでも本当にお嬢様だね。素敵な動画をありがとう！

Loved your bringing ballet to that genre, was hoping for more. _______________ It wasn't until I saw Lexi of the new JYP group VCHA that I saw such ballet skills (12 yrs) brought back to Kpop. First of all, she looks so confident and sophisticated for a 12-year-old!✨ I believe she needs to strengthen her technique (legs) from a ballet standpoint, but I looove the usage of her beautiful arms and upper body😊 Being an all-round dancer, she's got such potential and it's exciting to see more dancers like her coming up!🙌

Growing up, we watched the Nutcracker on TV, Christmas each year. While in the military, we saw Swan Lake in Frankfurt. Then, a few years ago, we saw the Nutcracker performed by ABT. I know little about ballet, but your performance was very lovely - impressive! Introducing our granddaughter (2-years-old) to ballet, soon. Our town had 3k people in it (farming community) so we will have to travel to find a teacher/school. Going to make sure she, at least gets to experience dance. Thank you for being a huge inspiration!

Wow, I'd love to watch the Nutcracker overseas as well!! Although I no longer dance professionally, I still love going to my gym/dance room to put on the Sugar Plum Fairy music to dance the variation (solo) just for fun😂 I love to dance more than anything, and I can't thank my parents enough for blessing me with all the experiences (and to my lifelong friends I made)! I'm so excited for your granddaughter!! She's going to love it❤✨

MELODEE you brought tears to my eyes!! :') 11 years old!!? You technique and stage presence is BEYOND AMAZING :D As a dancer myself it's so interesting to see the different variations that each studio/company makes for The Nutcracker. We're those rabbits in the fight scene?? XD Our fight scene was just mice with their Mouse King and toy soldiers with their Lead Soldier. I loved how at our company we had backdrops and props for each scene, although your grandfather clock looked way cooler that ours! For the snow scene did you have fog machines and snow falling? Not real snow obviously haha, but we had like soap foam that would make it look like it was snowing. The downside of that was it made the stage really slippery and it was like trying to dance pointe on really slick ice and many dancers would slip and one time one of the Snow Flurries twisted her ankle because the stage was so slippery. This reminded me of my childhood. Thank you for sharing!!!

Aww thank you!🩵 Yes, the rabbits were there as "nurses" to treat any injuries during the battle scene (so they weren't actually fighting). I loved their outfits! For snow, we did have both fog machines and snow falling! Ours was more like paper though and it was TONS of it loll. We had that incident, too, so I totally understand! Hope the Snow Flurry from your company was okay!! (We called them "snowflakes".) I'm glad this video brought you some good old memories☺💕

Thanks so much for watching!🤗 I actually started pretty late, right after I turned 9 years old. But in the beginning, I loved jazz and tap way more than ballet 🙈
