I would have liked if elaborated on his hands being stationary, and not just the missing finger. Besides that great video!

It was a side effect of his injury when he lost his fingers. That is why his fingers are stationary.

I work with a Fanuc palletizing robot that stacks bales of insulation. It's pretty similar to this configuration but like 10x bigger. Installers named it Tobor. Tobor works 24/7 and usually does good work but the other week his plc and teach pendant wiped their own programs somehow. Made lots of work for us operators having to do his job for hours 😅 (Tobor even decides to drop bales and make a great big mess occasionally)
@JoeMa69420Ай бұрын
Aha noob, we got 3 palletizer robots🤓
@futuremakerlabАй бұрын
Wow that is so cool! That sucks that the programming got wiped though. I love the name though that's pretty great!
@zenkoz3158Ай бұрын
@@JoeMa69420 I mean we are a small part of the overall production. The main lines are for cured batts, our loosefill line is an add on to the warehouse. 4 balers to run raw glass, and a 5th one to run brown wool from mainline scrap. We were manually bagging but just got the ancient and inoperable baggers replaced with new units that make their own bags from spools. I just like working with mostly raw glass because it doesn't make me itch like the cured stuff.

@@JoeMa69420 man I wish I was handling food, it makes the plant have to follow more strict environmental guidelines like better housekeeping and cooler ambient temps. Our robot has overheated many times when the temperature in here hits 95-100 or higher.

im thinking maybe another calibration seshion before showing it around, not trying to be rude, but the robot isnt perfect.
@futuremakerlabАй бұрын
The robot definitely is not perfect this one had not been turned on in a few years so it definitely needs some more work. We are looking at bringing this to schools so kids can see a smaller robot and maybe get interested in programming them!!

I remember using my welding hood at work and lookking at the bare sun with it. It was so beautiful and my eyes never hurt amd never became blind. Plus the it was less bright than the welding arc. Its safe imo
@jarrrr693 ай бұрын
You can use it but I wouldn’t look more than 10 seconds at a time. I did use one last eclipse and I didn’t have anything happen, no sore eyes or headaches.
@leedoss69053 ай бұрын
I'm blind now but I used to look at the sun all the time with regular sunglasses. Nothing to worry about.

As a former journeyman pressure vessel and pipe welder and current CWI, I can tell you resoundingly that this no-gym-day doughboy is entirely wrong. A shade 12 welding lens is adequate protection for a welding arc above 150 amperes at arm’s length distances of 1-3 feet. At those distances, the total IR, UV, and visible spectrum radiation intensity is nearly twice that of the sun in the sky at high noon on a clear day below the tropic lines. Buy your $1.75 shade 12 2x4 glass, or a $4.50 4x5 glass from a local welding supply and enjoy the eclipse, folks. Stop spending $20 on a pair of cardboard crap glasses that have aluminized Mylar in them.
