i didn't get to play this when i was younger in the 90s, but i picked up one of those sega complication discs for xbox 360 and this was on it. it has a save state/save game feature too, which is probably the only way i was ever able to beat this game.

One of my first games on the master system. At the end I could beat it with just sword, not using N powers or the thunderbolt.

That final boss is angry as hell! He stands up, destroys the table and... does nothing except some dumb magic tricks until he dies. This is pure power!

By far the most fun Sigma fight out of any of the games. Fast paced, tons of attacks/projectiles that you have to dodge, crazy music, and tough at first but very doable once you learn all his attack patterns. Although the yellow helmet and projectile attacks are still somewhat hard to dodge, everything else is easy and is enough to finish him off even if those first two attacks hit you a few times. And of course, the quirky charm that only an outlandish Sigma Final Form Design can deliver. Only complaint is that the first two phases are so easy that it's just unnecessary gameplay time padding

One of those games I was disappointed with at first with when my dad got it for our Genesis or rather Mega Drive like it was called in Europe. (I'm from Finland) We got this instead of "World of Illusion" since the store did not have it in stock, and my dad wanted us to have a two-player game. I thought it looked dull and had bad graphics, but back in those times you played what you had anyway and over time me and my brother grew to like it. Later on it became one of my most played games on the console besides maybe Contra Hard Corps and a few other favorites. Great game.. and great memories! :)
