Thanks for making this video! I decided to go with foam board as well for my 24x31 metal building. I wasn't sure how to go about installing it in the ceiling. Do you think the way you did it provides enough air gap?

@Steveoman1964 Thanks for replying! I have been buying the 1" board from HD or Lowe's because that's all they had available without ordering bulk. I just started with the walls because I originally thought I would spray foam the ceiling but decided against it for several reasons. HD just started carrying 2" in store so I'm going to start buying a little at a time and start the ceiling..

Your method of strapping for the ceiling panels was probably easier than mine. I got rolls of the metal pipe hanger strapping for plumbing and ran long runs, front to back. As for tape, nothing stuck to mine. I tried foil tape, and it would fall off within a day. I used the "pressure fit" method as well. I'm in North Florida, and it's been hot here lately. But I'm sure it would be hotter in the garage without the insulation. I ran all my wiring with MC cables, that I ran before insulating. I would go through the siding grooves to get behind the "studs", with metal boxes every other stud around the garage. Wanted to make sure I had plenty of outlets to minimize needing extension chords. :)

A word of caution using the flushing tool. I have had the tube blow off the end of the (Camco) cleaner and lodge inside the heater. Fun time fishing it out. If it has been awhile since cleaning you may want to fill heater with vinegar / water solution and let sit overnight then flush. Thanks for the video.
