I actually think the Religious Prophecy established on the Planet Dune, was actually a Reverend Mother who had partial visions of the Future, and recorded her visions as scriptures that the Fremen follow. So the Prophecy isn't "Fake" its based on real Visions of thr Past, Visions of Paul taking over the Universe in his Religious Jihad. This make sense because of all the exact Similarities of the moments "It was written" line up perfectly to what Paul had going on.

I can confidently say this is the first KZfaq video over an hour that I’ve not only watched the entire way through but went back when I wasn’t confident in my understanding of this story and your explanation of it, truly a masterpiece of the internet

Man wut duh hell! Story should've ended with the first book. The rest are a giant mess and completely ruin beloved characters. Someone should've told Frank to stop.

calling it now, right at the end of the series when all hope is lost the Dayne family guard will arrive and defeat all the problems. "we really really tried to give you enough time to solve it yourself....but come on now!"

That has to be a joke 😂 No way they dropped a ladder. A rope ladder sturdy enough and with enough length. Crazy would’ve made more sense if the giants threw em up 😅

Here's a counterpoint to the seemingly out of hand dismissal of Jon pulling a Nissa Nissa because " what if the Bloodstone Emperor was Azor Ahai" and "prophecy is questioned in the books". It is questioned, but we're shown time and time again the "but still" at the end of Marwyn's regularly used quote, because prophecy does turn out to be right too, often, in fact. The problem with prophecy in the books is just that: there's some truth to it, but seeking to make it happen, or grabbing on to one interpretation and trying to support or force it: That is what bites your prick off. Now, the Bloodstone Emperor theory is laughable. Did he supposedly create the Long Night and end it then? Oh, no? Is the second part of that story wrong and it just ended on its own? No? Then there's another hero who just randomly rose up and stopped it but wasn't actually Azor Ahai, and there's a big misunderstanding? Any version is absolutely dumb. Here's a counter interpretation. We're also shown criticism and a very dark version of magic throughout the books. What if the Bloodstone Emperor did create the Long Night, maybe his sacrifice even made him into the Great Other - something more akin to an exponential version of Euron than Jon. Magic in these books has a parity of give and take. What if the only magic that's on par to fight him and his magic rite is one similar in kind - sacrificing a loved one for great firey strength, rather than great cold, darkness, and silence? That seems a lot better interpretation given all the evidence at hand and explains the events of the Long Night of the past much better.

This whole series reminds me of The Musketeers that used to air on BBC 1 here in the UK. That was also a lighthearted romp, with swashbuckling action and honour clashing with mysteries and political intrigue.

The fact that if the dragons were still alive during this time(they would have if dance of the dragons did not happen) the houses would not have even dared to peep even if rhaegar did all of the stuff the only reason the targaryens fell was because of the lack of the dragons which made them the rulers of westeros in the 1st place. If viserys had just been more ironfisted in his rule and had just appointed an heir as king before he died none of this would have happened.

WRONG Jaqen IS the god of death. when Arya names him he says "the gods will not be mocked". He was little upset about the night king taking his "deaths" ,so he needed somebody to get them back. He chose Arya as that tool. its pretty cut and dry

Varys reminds me of Gin from Bleach. A demonstration of the idea of a crazy intelligent character with otherworldly discipline and talent that pursues the “greater good” in a way no other person could ever dream of, while acting in a very evil manner. Basically sacrificing their own soul for the good of humanity through their cold-blooded actions. The takeaway from that lesson is complete failure in the end because “you can’t beat the devil by playing his game” but it makes for a very interesting and strangely admirable character
