Nice commentary! Im new to rockhounding and I have a nice big slab of petrified wood, and I mean a slab! Prob weighs close to 10kg. Where would someone like me get this cut if I have no equipment of my own?

Hi mate, I hope you're well. I have been following you for a while now. Love the videos. I live at Redcliffe, and my son and I go hunting for agates and nodules most afternoons. We find lots, but they are tiny most of the time. I see your video of when you come up here. Could you recommend me a creek closest to Redcliffe I could take him to find some agates? It would be much appreciated. Thank you. Steve.

Redcliffe agate in brisbane often most shows up the morning after a storm, its when you see the lapidary club out beachcombing for agates

You want to find maps of the offshore reefs and target those areas of the shoreline when chasing the beach agates. They source from those red iron rich stones as those cool tunnels erode away and release the agates. They tend to be found more towards Scarborough end than down near woody point and summer storm season and the mornings after king tide is your target days.

You have to go early mornings for rockhounding this beach as the lapidary club often picks the shoreline clean after a storm. The goal finds are the hollow geode agates, they often come in a long cylinder/oval sort of shape

Anyone else see a little monkey or a koala in that basalt? Jesse you did an amazing job switching from the daiza to the suiban... only thing i would have changed would be to continue the sand to the far left upper corner... kind of like Yin and Yang that bad boy 😉☯️
