Omg.... I've literally been looking for the simplest ways and it's not just her... It's just so wordy and SOOOOOOOOOOOO slow that I literally got mad at her while watching this. If you can't follow simple instructions in a fraction of this time, knitting is not for you. I looked up "SIMPLE long tail cast on"... This video shouldn't be within that search.

I'm hoping to apply this to a pretty bad mistake I made while knitting in the round. While the pattern is a bit different, I figure it wouldn't hurt to try. I'm a beginner and your video was straightforward enough for me to follow along. I like that you repeated the picking up action and showed why it looked right.

Thanks for this video! The part that's stumping me a bit is that in the pattern I'm working with, I've slipped the first stitch of every row purlwise with the yarn in front, and it's making me confused as to how to start and finish the lifeline.

While audio of what you are doing would have made it easier I must say a HUGE HUGE THANK YOU!! Somewhere along the line my scarf went from 25 to 26 stitches and added in a hole and I was fearing might have to tear out about 100 rows of knitting but I knew I could add in life lines after the fact and yours was exactly what I needed being totally garter stitch. So even without the audio it helped tremendously!! Got all 25 stitches picked up below the hole and then sweated it as I pulled the needle and my stitches and poof it stopped at the lifeline with 25 stitches then continued on and seem I am back on track just have to recoup those 10 or so rows which is far far better then 100 rows!!! Thank you so much!!!!

You know what? You’re never gonna please everyone and those that complain or say they don’t like it can move on. Nobody is forcing them to watch are they? I for one found it very helpful and you’re very bubbly and nice. Keep up the good work.

Thank you!! I'm a newbie knitter and most of the time I just let my mistakes go, but I had a very glaring one annoying me and thought I'd ruined the whole thing. This was super easy follow compared to other tutorials and I was able to go back 8 rows down to fix it <3
