What a great tune., Love Rodney's style in music. He should be a Hall Of Famer one day. I'm from Thibodaux area, We call everything to the south Down The Bayou. That being Bayou Lafouche. The longest bayou with towns on both sides,, down to Port Fourchon... This tune has that bluesy ring, and fits our culture on the bayou.

Cool, cool.song. Rodney so glad you are back. Sam Baker. Keep it up. So tired of tired songs on radio with no heart, I love art.

This very abstract poetry, very well done. It is under appreciated today because it is unfamiliar territory for most folks under 50, 60 and up. It's not unlike Van Gogh who could't give a painting away because it was so "different". Try to buy a Van Gogh now. Great work.

This is my playing field, the truth of art but the "controled" media will not allow this soulful kind of material to see daylight. America is "in" 1984. America needs new radio stations to spread the truth to America. Maybe Elon should donate some money for start up stations across America that are not controled by "them". That might promote free speech by music much more than Twitter, and all that jabber. Let the Rabbit loose!

Sam Baker. Man I love this guy. My favorite story is I bought Say Grace from his show in Austin when we were there recording a song with Gurf. They did a show together at the Saxon. We had a Durango with a cd player. That cd got stuck in the player and wouldn’t eject. For two years, until I sold it. I put it in the ad that it came with a Sam Baker cd. Needless to say I know every single song on that cd, likely better than anyone else. If Rodney’s fans aren’t familiar with Sam, do your self a favor. Find the NPR story on him, then find Say Grace. He is a true treasure, an artist on every level and a hell of a human being.

I thought that the fiddle player was Jackson Browne for a moment. He looks quite a bit like him.

In 1999, Rodney came to the Sheridan Opera House in Telluride, CO. I was the Tech Director/Soundman. At soundcheck I asked if he was going to do "Till I Can Gain Control Again". He graciously said, "No, I don't have it in this show, but I'll do it for you". I said, "Can I sing harmony with you?". He said "Sure". We did it, and I was elated to have sung a song I had covered for years with the writer. That night the audience shouted "ENCORE, ENCORE". He came back out and started that song and said, "Tom, why don't you come join me on this?" I did. I have video of it and pictures from that video. Tomorrow Night, 3-23-24, I am doing a very similar show as this one with 2 other Songwriters... telling stories that go with our Original Songs to a local audience. Watching this again has made me very comfortable with doing it. God Bless the 3 of you!
