Got the book. Got the idea, but some points were so clear to me until I saw the videos. Have been trying to imitate and practice. Need to work on my joints mobility in general in order to improve my swimming efficiency.

Best method ever. Completed 2 Ironman 140.6s with great swim times after learning this method. No previous swim experience. The method is life changing.

@MrYoumitube.... How to achieve coordination... the biggest mistake is doing to do any tension in your shoulder muscles or arm mouscles... full arm with shoulder need to be relaxed... steps like that 1. get supper man position 2. Both arm in the water 30 or 40 degrees 3. full arm and should mouscles relaxed.. why??!! because the rib that support shoulder joint with rib cage need to be flexible to let shoulder joint bone open when you rotate hip bones... .kick one leg up and another leg down... this will do the following.. hip bones rotate... then the hip bone will rotate spinal chord.. spinal chord will rotate the rib cage.. but as I mentioned above shoulder joint bones need to be not freez.. you can test by relaxing arm and shoulder mouscle and try to move shoulder joint bone withot rotatating your rib cage with this joint and you will know this point.... if you tens any mouscle from your shoulder or arm it will not give yoy the proper action that is doing in this vedio.. hope that helps

I was wondering why in TI irecommends the non-horizontal leading arm. To allow the feet to stay up!!! Awesome video.

I'm on a sabbatical and so decided to try this method at the 15 meter hotel pool and it works. Session 1: literally YouTubing this video just before the first swim. The swim immediately felt effortless. One thing though, I naturally always turn my head left to breath but on the videos I notice that the swimmer alternates. Thus, when practicing, I am purposefully cueing my less dominant side - breathing on the right - until the movement is as strong as my dominant left hand side. This is difficult. But I'm getting there. Can't wait for the second session at the pool.

About 10 years ago I read your book, The Four Hour Body. The swimming fascinated me so I watched some KZfaq videos on how to do it. It TRULY transformed my swimming. I'm just getting back into it now since I've found walking and biking too hard on my knees these days. Thank you!

My biggest issue is trying to co-ordinate my kick with the hip propulsion to move the arms, plus of course breathing on both sides. If I can break them barriers I think I'm about 90% there.

Why in all these TI technique videos, head too high cause legs too low in water, and their reach is way too low in the water in every video. Its good for beginners to intermediate. But has flaws. Its basically just catch up with good rotation and two beat kick.

I have just begun to learn TI But having difficulties keep feet afloat due to low bodyfat My coach suggested kicking harder but it contradicts with the idea of swim effortlessly Please advise for you seem to have low fat too

Relaxing in the water as much as you can will help. I spent a few hours on tough drills for me and then moved on to the next. Astonishingly, going back to the earlier drills became easier after working through the drills closer to whole stroke swimming. What drills are you doing?

Stick with the TI. It gets into the techniques to get you legs up regardless of body fat.

Did you end up solving this? I also have zero fat on my legs, picked up TI 4 months ago, improved from doing barely 50m to 400m and still going. Not sure if you found the solution but what helps me after each pull when you are in skate position, I make sure feet together, squeeze my glutes, bring hips slighltly in and point my toes to back which lifts my body up. I call it a reset button to make sure I am streamlined. Also my feet are always together except when kicking and pointing back. When I kick I roll to the centre and its more of a small flick to minimise the drop. The best way my TI coach told me is to contract the knee then release the knee muscle, very minimum bend.
