I like Reignited for its take on this soundtrack, but Stuarts drumming skills show here. Reignited mutes a lot of it.

When my dad was lazy and my mom was out working he stuck a controller in front of me as I laid out, 3 years old on a mattress in the living room of my childhood home. Spyro the Dragon was my first game ever, Reignited Trilogy felt like it was made for me specifically. Stewart Copeland thank you so much for this.

1.1M views on this masterpiece and I'm confident that I account for at least 200K of them. I'm 32 now, and there is nothing that makes me feel more nostalgic than this soundtrack.

These songs were buried in the deepest parts of my memory for over 20 years now and listening to them here brought all the nostalgia flooding back. I loved Spyro as a kid. Great game. Probably one of my favorites and one I have tons of fond memories playing. I enjoyed the second and third pretty well too, but nothing beats the classic.

Spyro 1's art direction and world design carried a surreality that you just didn't get with the next entries. Enemies were so abstract that your head filled in the gaps, and not stopping and talking to NPCs for sidequests and crap meant the level had a continuous flow to it. Also the UI was so much better than the .pngs used in the next two entries.

It's super awesome that these themes are rather simple, yet really work! Like, some games go overboard with their music (even Pokemon), but Spyro (and honestly Crash!) make these simpler, yet effective themes that really complete the level. (though idk why Metalhead's theme is what it is; It doesn't scream "giant robot", it made me think more of like...Fighting a werewolf or some giant beast instead? He needs more tech in his theme)

It’s really amazing how much Stewart got from so little. He didn’t have that much to work with but neither did David Wise and both of them have classic video game soundtracks that will last the test of time. Thank you all who put their soul into these tracks.

Personally, I love all of these soundtracks. But my number one is probably Ice Cavern with these cold ice sound effects. And I love when another soundtrack from diffrent mission starts to play when it takes long time for you to end same mission

i first learned who Stewart Copeland was when i started listening to The Police, but i keep on finding out he’s been involved with so many other projects and musicians that there’s too many to count, and i really don’t know if i’m loosing my mind or not because a lot of those projects he’s been involved with and musicians he’s worked with are very recognizable to me
