Did we forget the part where Tyrell sodomized an intern just to hack his phone, or seduced and murdered an innocent woman out of jealousy over her husband's job? You want us to think these are the actions of original Elliot who is hopelessly traumatized by his father's sexual abuse? So much so that he (Tyrell) couldn't even stand to be touched by Mr Robot? Additionally the relationship he developed with his wife is all Power, Ambition, and Kink. There's simply not enough time in the day to be both Tyrell and Mastermind. Hell, there are times in the show where it is just barely believable that Mastermind has time to do all the things he is supposedly doing.

I watched this explanation and went to rewatch the series and although it’s clear that the creators did not intend to make this obvious or intended it to be discovered, meaning they didn’t try to eliminate the ambiguity and contradictions, there are too many subtle scenes that make it clear. The first scenes of Tyrell focusing on his blue eyes, the scene on the end showing his single teary blue eye while Darlene says hello Elliot, it’s there but you have to believe it to be true

This was me a few months ago: both melanoma and leukemia. Regardless the words you use, "cancer," "melanoma" and "leukemia" are awkward to say--and likely harder to hear--to people who love you. Like in the film, I'd had time to process it in private while my family had no choice but to react right in front of me. There's really no other way. It has an impact on their lives too! When they see the top of the ear to below the Adam's apple neck dissection I open with, "I've had a bit of 'work' done . . . how do I look?" then just dive into it. They were great. The leukemia is invisible and I've been able to be selective with the people I've told so it's definitely a "coming out" process like in the film. I thought of the joke about an easy way to come out: "Mom, dad, I've got cancer." After their reaction, "Kidding! I'm just gay!" Life is what it is! And for those who will be diagnosed with cancer, you're definitely not alone, (unfortunately) you have lots of good company!

I DONT THINK TYRELL IS ELLIOT, BUT I THINK THE MASTERMIND ELLIOT KILLED HIM AFTER PHASE 1. What if Tyrell Wellick was a real person but was killed by Elliots mastermind ego after the 5/9 hack. Then, the mastermind ego creates another Tyrell Wellick in his head just so that the original Elliot does not find out the mastermind killed a person and go even more insane. And what if Mr. Robot agreed to all of this just to protect the original Elliot. There are some instances after the 5/9 hack that suggest the Tyrell we see after phase 1 is just an inagination in Elliots head. Some scenes like the key thing try to show that Tyrell never made it past phase 1, but now knows deep secrets that elliot has, because he is a figment of his imagination. Any thoughts?

Not a bad theory and it would have been an interesting twist but your couldn't be more wrong. 'Élliot' & Tyrell existed together around other people. The ending is brilliant but simple and explained in the show - Darlene abandoned the real Elliot because she couldn't deal with what he was going through. When she left he eventually created 4 identities. The main identity was a version of himself called the mastermind. The mastermind fully took over and created an alternate existence for the real Elliot to live in (a perfect world). In Darlene's conversation with him in the final episode, she tells him she always knew he wasn't the real Elliot when she returned.. Then we see the mastermind let go of his hold on Elliot and take his viewing seat with the other identities. And the real Elliot wakes up and Darlene instantly can tell it's him. A brilliant show.

Another twist in this story. I hope there is another season.

What about the scene where Elliott killed Elliott and stuffed him into a box? The police officer (Dominique) stops Elliott at the car and asks for his ID. He presents his ID and Dom says that he doesn't look anything like him. So the dead Elliott's face in the box isn't the same as Elliott(the mastermind).. so yeah it could very well be out is Tyrell in the box and on the ID but we as the observer don't see that, only Dominique when his world is falling apart.

Does anyone knows what the two main characters say at the end where they are at the beach? For some reasonin that specific part the sound muted and I couldn't hear or understand what they said.
