My employer tried to pull this crap about no cell phones at work. I told them my 85 year old mother is with my two dogs all day and she never calls me at work unless there’s an emergency or something she can’t handle by herself, so no, I will not turn off my cell phone at work. That was the end of that.

My favorite interview was we pay just $2 over minimum wage it's an inventory job but you need a bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience my question was well I don't have any of that but I can definitely do the job how long is a job in Vacant 3 years the last guy retired and what was his qualifications for the job he had no qualifications he just started working one day I had to give him the news that no one's ever going to take that job because no one's going to have the requirements

One thing wrong about this is the fact that companys will always say there looking for people online. Fact is in my company my store i work in is fully staffed and we have about 300 CVs waiting online for our store alone they tell you to submit it online because they dont wanna deal with it. If they are looking for hires they will take your cv in person too.

They get away with this by saying it has to be a diversity higher ans they dont have to specify that so it sits in limbo

I had a work place like this do the same bs. When the guy that was perfect for the roll started to leave he went past a lot of employees. Told them and a few went with him because we were sick of the hiring managers bs he kept on pulling.

This is also how employers trick empoyees at a company with a "staffing shortage" into thinking help is on the way and new hires will come rolling in in an attempt to keep the employee "motivated".

As a truck driver management tells us not to use our cell phones when we’re behind the wheel. Then proceeds to call us to give us an extra dispatch. When I don’t answer I get this same attitude.

She didn't ask to be paid indefinitely. She didn't ask for 24hour pay or to be paid while asleep. She requested to receive a work phone and be paid till midnight. These are our rights. And i actually received this after my boss insisted on continually contacting me on my personal time. But i still gave it all up cause he was a shit boss on the real. My peace is worth way more than just about any pay.,
