It is possible that when you swim you put more pressure on the watch compared to when your watch falls into the water (100 m)!

Ive had mine (silver dial) for a month. I absolutely love it. Don’t share your complaint, though I wouldn’t ever spend 6000 dollars on a watch. The gentleman gives you a luxury feel without emptyimg your pocket.

I got this same model way back in 2005, with the 7S26A movement for under $50. Still wear it today after 19 years, still functioning well. Hopefully, I can get a few more years out of it.

The Rolex Datejust was my dreamwatch, but even in the secondhand market was too much money for me, This Tissot would fill my dream 😊

Why would Rolex be the standard? They don't set the bar in my opinion. At some point, every watch is an homage of another watch. They're watches!

Great video. Amazing shots. I agree with your comments regarding the dial - the videos/pictures wont do it justice. Seeing it in the flesh is an experience
@user-mm4oo9cw2lАй бұрын
I have the exact same watch - and I love it! I agree the dial is so mesmerizing and the fine details really shine through a variety of ways. I messed up (lost) the pin & collar system when adjusting the bracelet so I was forced to throw the silicone strap on and I love it even more! So comfortable I think I’ll keep it on!!

Finishing and dial aside. I honestly prefer the case design of the Gentleman better than the Oyster. The bezzle design of the Oyster makes the watchface feel a bit cramped. On the Gentleman, the watchface looks a bit larger than it is. I don't think anyone would confuse the gentleman for a rolex for that reason alone.

Your friends never heard of a mechanical watch? So those deep thinkers you hung with thought watches in the 19th century all ran on batteries? Sheesh. Good lord.🙄

Being in the service for many years I mainly used gshock; however, now I'm starting to get into watches. I recently bought my first automatic watch and am really enjoying learning about other brands. This was a great video! Very informative. I'd have to go with the VAER for being less expensive and having better features.

This watch cannot keep time unless you have it professionally regulated. The lume is useless, and the rotor is obnoxiously loud.

I've watched quite a few vids about Tissot and no one has explained their history and innovations as well as you. I have been contemplating buying the Gentleman, recently. Your information might contribute to whether I do or not. PS. The kicker at the end put me off. If someone else thinks its a Rolex, it might get ripped off my wrist. So, I'm out!

I have the VAER automatic watch, along with two other of their models (quartz and solar). They are outstanding watches. I've looked at Hamilton models but have not bought any because of three main issues: no AR, poor lume, and a push-pull crown, all for a greater cost. The other thing to be considered is that VAER customer service is excellent and prompt.

Quality review! 👍 I just needed a fairly accurate, do-it-all, automatic watch with antimagnetic properties. That's it. For me, the Gentleman ticked all the boxes. Sometimes people just want a reliable watch.

Thank you so much! Yes of course. It is a fairly inexpensive one. I got it from Teddy Baldassarre’s website a few years back. I think it was about $35. Definitely not better than the OEM one in my opinion but it does looks nice and was 1/3 the cost!

VAER makes functionally superior field watches, while (IMO) Hamilton makes better looking field watches. I run the tactical VAER for tasks that may require a more functional and robust field watch and the Hamilton to look nice. Best of both worlds.
