This is a great tutorial. All I could think whilst watching it though was "Jeez, this dude sounds like James Hetfield".

Do you think this will restore the Yeti Camo 1.0 Tumblers from 2018. Will this product restore to original colors or close to it or is it just for stainless steel?

Hi Mike I have a Yeti that has a step down. It's a 26oz Rambler with a 12.5" circumference at the top with a 2.5" flat area, then it steps down to 11.5" circumference at the 2.5" mark that drops to 9" at the very bottom. Is there any easy way to calculate the size you should enter when you open the Rotary Docker.

Hi Mike Is there a formula to figure out the best size of graphics to use on specific sizes of Rotary objects. ( I know that experience is the best guide) but Yeti has so many different sizes in their line up of drinkware, I am always wasting time trying different size layouts on scraps, it would be cool to be able to just look at a chart and use it to take the guess work out of it all.
@fmeclarke2 ай бұрын
Size is dictated by your laser time, The bigger the logo the more you charge. Just remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Another great video Mike. I look forward to more. I have been really leery of using the rotary with Ruby especially when doing Yeti's because they are just too expensive to replace if I make a mistake, I already have a small collection of them.

Click on the circle and right click on the "x" that is at the top of the colour palette and this will remove the colour and the line width. DO not delete the line as the text will not be editable anymore

I know this is an older video, but I am looking to pick up a laser for my office. We currently cut Phenolic labels for electrical panels with a CNC Shark. We struggle with getting the material and the cutting surface level and consistent, so we are considering a laser, but have no idea what to get. We cut maybe a hundred labels a month with a batch of around 30 each time. Do you have any suggestions for us?
@fmeclarke6 ай бұрын
Sorry a bit late on this one. You can not cut Phenolic on the laser. You can cut lamacoid
@mattnearytrieshard5 ай бұрын
Man if you figure out something that does it easy and well let me know. I've been doing the same with some rowmark materials for a panel shop. I have the same issues with you on my cnc. I bought an omtech cO2 laser, and am not really impressed with my results. Even following the recommendations in the video. I still get some lines, and have issues cleaning after. @fmeclarke I've noticed a lot of people from the electrical industry use the term phenolic like some people use kleenex for tissue. They often are just referring to the two layer engrave-able plastic.

We make a ton of labels for our Electrical contractors. I work at an electrical wholesaler and we provide this service at a fee of course. We use the VLS2.30DT by Universal Laser Systems. After we rast the wording, I mask the whole sheet with Yellow Masking tape( the least sticky masking tape a painter will use) then we cut the material with a vector and leave the tape on the lamacoid. There is no clean up required and leaves you with a perfect adge with no discoloration on the vector cut. Just trying to deal with the stick edges now. But the contractors dont really mind that part.@@mattnearytrieshard

Tip for you!✨⭐️ if you don’t have the laser go back to start upon completion, you can press the curved arrow on the machine to repeat the job! it will do another pass in the identical spot - no clean up needed (make sure tk clamp tight) Also the magic eraser could dull your paint! DO NOT rotate your peice manually, the jerking will cause it to misalign!
