Very cool. Nothing more enjoyable than fishing with your children and then camping out. He’ll remember that forever. do you have to make reservations to camp? I really wanna take my boat down and do fishing and camping here. I'm 2 hours north of there.

You might want to wet your hands if you plan on releasing a trout. If you rub too much of there slime off it’s not good for them.

what r ur preferred cat baits for the river?
@betweenthebluffs9690Ай бұрын
@@thereal_baba_yaga for flatheads I try to use small live bluegill. Cut bait also works. Depends which side I am fishing, some states don’t allow gamefish as bait.

Thanks again for the memories of my childhood👍 Im 73 now. All my young summers from Savanna to Winona on the Miss. Sandbar camping…train whistle, sunsets. Actually found the remains of a Paddle wheeler back in a slough once. Youre a blessed man my friend.

Love the video. My grandpa had a boat/boathouse at the Minnesota City Boat Club and we would fish back in the sloughs around there. I could never keep track of where we were. My step-grandma's son owned the West End Bait shop in Winona. Maybe your dad or grandpa remembers that.

Always enjoy your videos! Job well done grinding it out under tough river conditions. I live in Dubuque IA. & our river conditions are tough as well although it looks like water clarity in your area seems to be decent, it takes a little longer for it to clear up here being downstream from your location. Gonna maybe give it a whirl this coming week in similar backwater locations. Take care & be well!!👍👍 Danny W

Awesome video man. It's so awesome to see Father & son out to together sending some time camps fishing together man. I have 6 boys & a 7 year old Granddaughter & a 1 year & 11 mouth old Grandson & we all love to go & do kayaking & kayak camping & kayak fishing. I am just waiting for my Grandson to get a lil bit bigger to do this with us too. I like your Crocs you have man. I wish I could wear them but I can't because I have big & very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide feet 🦶 ) with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots when I was young & the only footwear that will fit me is Flip Flops 🩴 which barely and I mean barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps. When I try to put Crocs on my feet 🦶 my 4/5 toes get crushed & hurt my feet 🦶 & toes because the toes box area is not wide enough for my toes. My friend told me to cut a small Section out of the box area on the crocs for my toes to hang out of the crocs so they would be comfortable for me to wear. He said that it would look funny seeing some toes hang out of the crocs but it would work for me. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video.

Grew up about 3 minutes from Devil's Lake, that pointy rock at the start of the video is a great diving/swimming spot, just to the left of it (when standing on the rock) is a perfect step up rock to get back up out of the water. Nobody is ever swimming there, Rock 8 is almost always packed, that spot is a good alternative.
