Taking my son out on the Mississippi River for some camping. We head out when the water level is high and continues to get higher. Fishing was touch, but we still put in our time and also made some great food over the fire. #mississippiriver #camping #cooking #fishing #sandbar #island

Thanks again for the memories of my childhood👍 Im 73 now. All my young summers from Savanna to Winona on the Miss. Sandbar camping…train whistle, sunsets. Actually found the remains of a Paddle wheeler back in a slough once. Youre a blessed man my friend.

Love the video. My grandpa had a boat/boathouse at the Minnesota City Boat Club and we would fish back in the sloughs around there. I could never keep track of where we were. My step-grandma's son owned the West End Bait shop in Winona. Maybe your dad or grandpa remembers that.

I remember the West End! It sure was nice having something closer where I lived at the time. Sweet area at MN boat club. People’s favorite come ice fishing season.
