I've been using the same chain and I love it! Also, for rap vocals Jaycen often switches out the El Rey with the Waves MV2 (using the Squeeze preset), which makes them pop out a little more upfront as opposed to the soft pump that the El Rey provides.

These settings are actually not universal. He changes it for every mix. You saw the same video I did on MixWithTheMasters. He says he doesn’t believe in templates.

For example, I noticed he uses the "Canyon" preset both in Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and in Travis Scott's vocal effects. While not all effects are universally applicable, they can provide valuable inspiration. would you mix one of my song and make it a tutorial for everyone. I record at home majority YT videos use studio quality vocals. This isn't a fair example or much help for us because we face we may problem then the main stream artist.

Use this method as a starting point or for double-checking what you've already done. While background vocals can affect the main vocal's volume, they are not as crucial to consider.

I have both. Fab Filter's de-esser you just have to switch it over to "Split Band" and it does the same thing. The other options make it a better choice, but then again Jaycen also has his assistance manually automate the plosions and s sounds. (which lightens the lifting)

So the oxford inflater is just a waveshaper, and melda audios free wave shaper can do the same just 99$ cheaper! There is alot of videos on youtube with people nullifying the inflator with the melda waveshaper.

I turned off when you kept promoting Waves. There is nothing that could ever persuade me to buy or use any Waves product, because they are a duplicitous, conniving and morally bankrupt company. There are plenty of better and more effective transient designers on the market, like Newfangled etc. Why would you buy a Waves plugin when they make you pay for updating the plugin, when they try to take you plugins off you because they went subscription only, repack and put a new GUI on old code to get you to buy the same shit again?

Hi the effects on the h9 is the canyon preset ? For h3000B ? I understand the mention he send the vocal to delay and then the delay to a reverb . So is the Canyon Preset to AMS 16 reverb . Not sure what preset on the AMS ? Thx

@@dexgaming9587 yes it is, but it’s sounds different. I have both and got the brainworx first, then got UA. Even with the LA2A and Fairchild and cla-76 in comparison to Waves, UA is cleaner and gives a more rich sound to me. Imo. Maybe it’s the interface but I can tell a difference
