Another Arcturus reference is in Lego Ninjago season 3. Arcturus is the name of a Serpentine general and also the codename for a secret project in the show.

You missed how Rigel is the home system of the alien invaders in the Duke Nukem series. Gliese 667c is the homeworld of the Venlil from The Nature of Predators.

Poritrin was a slaver planet which probably explains why the Zensunni/Fremen were there, undoubtedly not by choice.

I love that you mentioned “Elite Dangerous,’ a game that you’re pretty much guaranteed to enjoy if you’re a space nerd, which you are since you’re here reading this comment.

The asteroid that hits Buenos Aires in Starship troopers was a false flag operation to get everybody onboard to invade the bug planets.

It would make sense for Arakis to be an "anchor" location that could project itself across the universe.

How the fuck are gonna say "too much Halo" after 3 planets but reference Star Trek every time? Star Trek is ass too, if you're gonna reference something commonly at least make sure it's known and not total dogshit.

The way I've always thought of 'folding space' is alcubierre warp drive, though it's basically as sci-fi as 'folding space'. But the mechanism does fit the discription and the need for guild navigators also makes sense to ensure that when you 'ride' in your spacetime bubble/wave you don't collide with stars or planets or what say you. Of course its been a while since I've read the books and there might be some crucial description that doesn't fit with my explanation so feel free to correct me.

Important numbers in Star Trek are 477, but you remove digits depending on how many you need. Singe digit? 4. Double Digit? 47. You can also write it backwards, making it 774 for triple digits and 74 for double digits. For example: "Deck 47, section 7." Etc, etc...

I do love Sci-fi, that's a given. However, I'm not a firm believer in the existence of intelligent life outside of Earth because I think people overestimate the odds of life evolving to such a level, and I can see why that could be. Earth has an outstanding number of species and such a variety that it's hard to imagine a place without any life at all, but the odds of such success in the evolution of life are astronomically low. Our own planet's life was closer to failing than resisting and developing. And the chances of intelligent species developing are much lower. Just because the Universe is HUGE, we can't forget that life, as we know it, is nothing short of a miracle and shouldn't be taken lightly. The chances of us NOT being here clearly outnumber the chances of us existing....

In fairness to Starship Troopers, I always thought that the fact that it's so overtly ridiculous that bugs could hit Earth with an asteroid from across the galaxy was the point. The human government hit Earth themselves to have pretext for a war, being a military society. The fact that no one seems to notice is very on brand for the satire. Maybe that's just my headcanon!

The robot switches to entirely different voice to make a thing about accents. This is so cringe. I just want real humans. Not only that, your own speech is extremely cringe. You force comedy and it doesnt sound good. You overdo common tropes, too. And your delivery is a strain.
