Super easy but does this not harm the power steering pump?
@magicspanners4024 күн бұрын
@@jamieray657 hi and thanks for your comment 😊 There are 2 ways to do this job . With a electric pump and without a pump. I have videos showing both methods my friend. No harm will come to the power steering pump as the engine never get started in both methods. Long as the fluid level is correct when finished and the power steering pump is not dry. The only way that can happen is if you have a leak somewhere on your system or you forget to put new fluid in.( I have seen the second one happen. Not by me lol ) Have trust and faith my Friend you can do this. All the best in your diy money saver jobs my friend 😀

@magicspanners40214 күн бұрын
@@felipecesan1 no apologies needed my friend. And thank you for your question 🙏 😊 I buy the diesel and fill a 5 litre container. If your good you can pour straight from the container. @@felipecesan1 don't be sorry my friend. I'm here to help anyone who asks. I've used both after market pasts and original mitsubishi ones. Wow I bet that was messy putting the old filter back? You could have gotten air into the system but it would have naturally bleed itself by starting the car. Did you let the new filter soak up clean diesel then top up the filter casing ? The tightening band on the filter casing can also be fiddly because they made of plastic. If the seal is not right air will get in that way too.. I hope this information helps my friend. i bought the £45 model today based upon your review and it's brilliant, it tells you the current pressure in your tyres and if you have a slow leak, (like i have), you can see the reading go down as the air escapes the puncture- I was shocked to see that my rear tyre should have been 26, but read 09, (oops). it is really fast at inflation too. Thank you for taking the time to review it.

I had a much older Halfords tyre inflator which was BRILLIANT. I didn't realise how lucky I was. It was cordless, it just plugged into the house socket to recharge it and it was always ready to inflate the tyres of two cars in no time. It did not need a usb connection, as some do now. It lasted for years and years but then unfortunately broke down and they have stopped making it. I wish I could get someone to repair it. I can not get the equivalent, except one of another make which is useless. I got another Halfords one but it is not cordless. It can plug into the car, but also directly to the house socket, which the one in the video does not seem to

When I filled the tank it would show it was full but after going below half mark I knew I had less fuel in the tank than what it was showing. Because I always reset my trip counter in the past and knew what I'd normally get on a full tank. I do now have a camera I can put into things to take a look but back then I didn't. Hello my friend thank you for your comments. If you can get the correct fluid from the dealer. That's why I have 2 power steering changes videos on my channel. You can use atf fluid at a pinch in power steering system. I struggled to get the correct fluid from mitsubishi here in the UK and if you are in the UK a company called Morris oils make very good compatible oils for our cars. You just put in your reg and they tell you what you should use. In my 1st video I used ravenell atf III for my shogun sport. But did another flush using a different method when I got the proper fluid. Its not a good idea to mix different oils my friend thats why if using something different a flush is required. @@magicspanners402 great stuff, I have seen that the ATF oil is MA1 and strictly only this oil in gearbox. Mitsubishi say any other oil will cause severe damage. Your thoughts? @magicspanners4026 ай бұрын
@@gateshox yes my friend you are right. The Mitsubishi ATF MA1 fluid is the correct transmission fluid for the Shogun Sport. 👍 It comes in 18litre containers . But you won't get all the old fluid out from just the drain plug. You are in luck though I'm changing mine next week as long as the weather holds up here in the UK. And I'll be filming the whole process. You'll get a heads up before you do yours 👌 .these cars take 12.8 litres for a full change . I measure what I've got out and replace it with the same amount. There is a dip stick under the drain plug its called a overflow pipe. But to use that You'll need a pricy scan tool that'll read the transmission oil temperature 85c to 89c to know you got the right level 👍 😉 the old shogun was a lot easier you just just it all down the dip stick lol. But yes always use the manufacturers transmission oil when changing fluid. Gald your OK. The system does give false positives. Unfortunately you can't disable it as its hard wired into the car system to come back on when you start the car again just like start stop technology. Its annoying but you do get into a habit of turning it off. Like putting your seat belt on. When you set off I do everytime now. The other way to stop it is to block the sensor at the front of the car but if you do that the car will constantly beep at you which is even more annoying.
