Great review, currently considering this pedal. I also have a G&L Fullerton Legacy in that exact same color. Had some questions and comments. 1) 3:45 are you playing minor pentatonic in B? 2) G&L Strap lock buttons are small detail that I think exceeds the standard strap button. I left them instead of the locking ones. 3) Do you think a G&L Legacy gets that Strat nasal sound closer with a Fender-type clean amp? I'm using a Marshall Origin 20c and although it works, I was reconsidering switching for an Orange.

Not a lot of views on this video I’m surprised. Ive just started with Gutair and even though I’ve given up in the past I’ve been dedicated to learning this year. Made a lot of progress and will be checking back in on this channel for more 👍

This is an excellent video. For those who need verbalization of where to put your fingers, this video is educational because it encourages evolution from a mechanical way of thinking to an intuitive way of thinking based on intervals in a key. In this case, the key of A.

Gary, you made a short clip in the past that gave older guitar players the advice to spend most of our time learning and playing songs. You went on to say it was ok to learn technical stuff but, focus on songs. Well, that is probably the best advice I have ever received. Thank you Gary!

Firstly, congratulations on a superb learning platform.....does anyone have a view on older newbies? I'm just starting at 58 years old, am I likely to face significant difficulties in developing this dexterity??

How to improvise without hitting a bad note? I want to play with the guitar, not just play a song on the guitar. You get what I mean?

Easy way to play the blues is be born black in the Deep South and migrate to the Northern United States during reconstruction era.

Ive been playing for hmm 20 years now, i cqn switch on consecutive eighth notes for like common chords. This is probably one of thr only videos i agree with. Dont play all 0's open in between, its just a short cut. Being able to switch fast is important even when playing slow as you can sustain the chord for the full duration and not putting an artificial rest. Chord switches, imo, is the hardest part of guitar... maybe finger skips, like playing index seven on a string (e) then playing index 7 on e (b)... that also really sucks, doesnt happen often.. out/in patterns (switch downstrokes and up strokes on paint it black) that sucks too, umm right hand mute (a la knifeman) that kinda sucks. Realizing when u start to get quick enough, like ur playing an E sharp in the key, so u can keep spelling consistent so u can keep aware... that sucks. Strict alternate that sucks..., realizing that every note u play in a four note pop transition has its own unique relation for every note... that sucks. Tripelets also suck, when u have to pick every note. Switching from 4 to 6 back to 4 or 8 just kinda sucks. Guitar is hard, but fun! Keep practicing, this is great video! Guitar is hard, but u are getting better!

I very quickly learned that soloing is what makes the blues what it is. I don't even think Tin Pan Alley has a rhythm guitar. It's just drums and SRV soloing his way to the best guitar player in history all the way through.

Nice review. I use mine as a fly rig but I agree it's very flexible. I smiled watching you trying to describe the difference between cab sim on and off - it only works on the XLR.... that's why it sounded exactly the same through the 1/4" output.

Here is something I tell my students: If you hit a wrong note, it normally isn’t a beg deal because most people won’t notice, and, if they do notice, they will likely see it as a minor flaw or perhaps even regard it as an attempt by you to be artsy. Unless you do it an awful lot, they problably won’t think less of your playing. But everyone will notice, and no one will forgive you, if you screw up the beat, even one time. It is the fastest and surest way to come off as bad. So if you are, say, learning to travis pick, the most important thing--the thing you must master before anything else--is a steady alternating thumb that is dead on the money..
