I was just diagnosed with stage T3b N2, M0, I'm super scared. I just hope I get through it all. I start with IV chemo, then radiation and after if it is still around then surgery and I'm guessing some more chemo. It will be one heck of a hell ride. I also had Hodgkins 40 years ago, then rt. breast cancer... Story of my life it seems every 20 years. Anyway your videos are very helpful with a lot of great information and tips.

I been watching a few videos about port insert. No one is talking about clogging and flushing. I have to have one. But I'm worried it will clog. Due to the chemo sessions being x3 weeks apart. Do you have to flush the port at home ?

@willowthepony Do not wait. Tell your parent if you are a minor. Schedule the colonoscopy asap to get answers and relief. Focus on answers instead of worrying as worries do not help you get answers or treatment. 🙏🏼

I am from New Zealand and started my prep at 5pm this evening and it started working at 7.15. I was prescribed Glycoprep Orange which did not taste too bad other than giving me a mild headache. The 5pm prep was for 2L made from 2 sachets of Glycoprep. I have to have another 1L of prep at 5am tomorrow morning. My colonoscopy is as a result of a bowel screening test that I failed rather than from having any cancer symptoms.

Finished my last litre of Glycoprep Orange this morning. I am glad I took your advice to wear diapers last night although no accident luckly. I will wear a pair to my appointment and on the way to the post colonoscopy care home.

Hi Jelena I am back home now. It was a painless procedure and I was happy when the doctor said my prep was pretty good. She did find 3 polyps which she has sent to the lab for analysis but does not think they are cancerous. Prior to surgery the doctor did warn me of risks and I said what symptoms would I get from those problems and she said they will be able to let me know straight after the procedure if they have any problems and they did not have any. I felt I may have left with constipation last evening but I was back to normal this morning with no indication the Glycoprep Orange was still affecting me. I was given a discharge form with images on it. As its very likely I will need another one sometime due to polyps being found I will write everything down that I had for the LF diet and and steps I took to consume the Glycoprep. Maybe by next time they will have come out with a Glyco prep in the form of tablets to take. The hospital gave me complimentary transport to and accomodation in a care home last night in case I was to suffer any complications manly due to the anaesthetic.

Thank you, Carole and Jelena for this EXTREMELY informative segment. I'm in Canada where this kind of transplant for non-resectable colorectal cancer liver metastases has only just recently been approved. Thank you for being a trailblazer, Carole! I'm currently doing all the workups to see if I'm a candidate for a deceased donor transplant so it was really enlightening to hear more about the process and recovery and navigating returning to life where cancer isn't the first and last thought of each and every day.

I’m having a colonoscopy a week from today and I’m scared. I have an artificial left BKA and my other foot is going bad to where I have to use a walker. It takes a while for me to put my leg on, and then get my other leg on. I’m afraid I won’t be able to make it to the bathroom and go without soiling myself. Does anyone else have that problem? So sorry for the long text!

I have one on Thursday after failing a bowel screening test. Prior to watching her video I sort of wondered if I would need adult diapers and she has confirmed I would plus not to expect to get much sleep the night before. I may even get a tarpaulin to replace the sheets on my bed.

so in an average week you have about 1-3 bowel movements daily, while 2 being the average it seems. thats amazing. when I had UC I would have to go maybe up to 20 times a day sometimes and this makes me hopeful for my reversal. I hope I get this result, I dont want to get my hopes too high though, I have heard about 6-8 times a day too. and how do you deal with accidents? do they occasionaly happen ?
@AshleySpeaks4U27 күн бұрын
I put off colonoscopy at 45 and 46, but now at age 47, something is not right as of last month. I am pooping painful concrete with blood in it. I actually have had everything seem to turn into gas this last year too. Not stinky, but what on Earth? I get random nausea after eating sometimes-really weird.
