I have the cx racing manifold and it works great 2 years strong. If that turbo ever dies look into borg warner. Pay a little more but get way better reliability from it.

The adapter? Without it, the coolant area that flows through the factory manifold will be exposed. It allows you to run K20 style manifolds while retaining proper coolant flow. The adapter will flow coolant to the thermostat housing.

I've actually sold the E46 Touring. It was my daily and weekender so it was being driven quite some distances at least 6 days a week. That much driving meant increased fuel and maintenance/running costs. If you're looking for a cheap runaround, it should be okay as long as you check it all out, common issues, leaks etc. This goes for any car, you honestly never know what you could be buying regardless of how much or what the car is.

Did you ever solve the throttle body fitment issue? Did you use a thermal gasket?

The issue was never the gasket, it was clearance due to the intake spacer hitting the throttle body. Had it machined down a notch to clear.

If we compare DC5 Base Flywheel vs FN2R Flywheel vs K20 Flywheel on CL9, I can say it's definitely a significant improvement. The CL9 is drive-by-wire not cable, so the pedal and response is different to your typical K20/B Series. The K20 Flywheel definitely helps in terms of responsiveness. I'm pretty confident that the K20 Flywheel will be a great advantage in my K24 DC5

Wow. I got the same E46 Touring also with the Styling 68 like you got. (best wheel on this car imo) Only difference is that i got it as a 330xi. (AWD) The car is clean and (very rare in Austria 🇦🇹) RUST FREE! Love that car. Greetings from Austria

Pretty sure it will! There's a few variants available from Skunk2 to suit various K-Series. As long as the intake you purchase is fit for your K20 variant, it'll work. Be sure to do your research!

DO you have any issues after the installation? I did the same things like this video. I blow my battery and my radiator, on my first test drive, I jumped my car, it could not rev up above 3000/4000rpm, reving and swifting hesitation like i was drive on a limp mode, and the worst thing is my car was overheating, I just realized i was try to burn myself. It's been my few weeks after the installation, i am still figuring out how to fix everything on my car right now. I changed battery and the radiator, fixed the hoses, I have a question for you, do you use Ktuning or something related to ECU things to install and maximize that skunk???

My DC5 isn't running yet, however if you've checked over anything, it's best to use tuning software to actually make use of the intake. Without telling the ECU anything or setting new parameters, the car will run the same as it would with the stock intake. From the issues you've faced, it's best to check over once more, lines, hoses and wiring around the intake that could be damaged.

They used to be alot cheaper! This box is popular in Kswapped situations but as the casing and mounting is different, not common in Hondas with factory K20 variants

Does it fit? Yes Does it fit 100%? Not exactly... We actually already have the motor and box back in and are working on a custom solution to make sure it's 100% secured.

Mechanical fan is always best. We switched to thermos as we had faults with the stock fan. As the car is undergoing a 1JZ swap, it works out for us.

The tb should have came with a skunk2 tb thermal gasket. If not just buy. Thermal gasket and it should fit. I have the same set up

With a completely stock motor, I don't think so. The factory oil pump does not flow enough to support a higher rev limit. However, I believe its possible with an upgraded oil pump. We're gonna see how high we can rev it, then set it to max safe for longevity.

Thanks!! As a daily, the auto is superb in and out of traffic. It's pretty intelligent and according to your foot, knows when to hold, extend or kickdown gears. It's no DCT but it's quick for 2003.

Nice just about to order mine, just got a price from iRace today before I watched this video as it would happen. Originally was going with the Elite 1500 but when they brought out the Nexus 3 with PDM in the unit the pricing beats the 1500 plus the PDM box so you can not lose. It'll be going in a Honda Fit with a Merc racing supercharger but I'm keeping the L series motor not trading it for a K swap. Good luck with your build and when you get frustrated and angry with the wiring just remember we are having fuuuunnnn.

how does the ecu feel in hand? is it heavy? do you know if its potted internally for water resistance?

The ECU for sure has some weight to it, but I wouldn't call it heavy. I haven't found any specifics for water resistance, however, as the Elite Series ECUs have waterproof cases I would assume the Nexus VCUs have received the same treatment.

Did you plug the oil passage in bottom of block since you are putting k20 pump on k24? That wasn't mentioned in your video. Also, when you are installing the tensioner, you don't pull the pin out until its installed. Sounds like you had trouble because it was pulled before you installed it making you have to go through trouble of putting pin back in.

I have a skunk2 70mm throttle body that lines up perfectly with my intake manifold (install vid soon). Mine is the Ultra Street with a 70-71mm diameter. Perhaps the Ultra Race Manifold is 74mm? Otherwise 70mm throttle body on this manifold is good to go!
