Thanks for the hint to pour the fragrance oil in the middle. Do ricing fragrances ever seize when blending out? Your's stayed nice and creamy. Also, you mentioned that you were soaping at room temperature. Have you switched permanently from using the heat transfer method? I often buy fragrance oils after watching your feedback. It's wonderful information. Love your videos!

Hi, Nancy and thank you. It's hard to say about seizing because all fragrances are different. Some may seize and others won't, like this one. Read the user reviews on a fragrance you're considering. At the moment, during warm temperatures, I melt oils and mix the lye the night before and soap at room temp because I had to use SO much ice with the heat transfer method. When the weather gets cold again and my oils are hard, I'll go back to the heat transfer method.

Love this one! I think you’ve given a good tip with pouring fragrance in the middle and then capturing it with stick blender right away. I’d never thought to do that. I bet it resolves ricing faster/better than stirring first! Thanks

Thanks! I do believe that helps to blend the ricing faster, thus allowing less stick blending and thickening. This one does stay at pudding consistency for a while, though, giving time to layer.

Hello Eric! I know I have seen better soaps from you. The pink piping threw it off. Maybe if it was a different shade of blue the pink could have work like a birthday cake look. I won’t lie. I had a little anxiety watching. LOL! You handled that fragrance well and your soap turned out beautiful. I soap to relax though, so accelerating and ricing fragrance is always a no for me 😂 Very nice final soap!

Hi, and thanks. I used to feel that way, but I feel a little more confident with those "bad boys" now and I know most can be used for layers. Separating fragrances are the only ones I absolutely won't use in cold process.

Yes. You can actually use it as soon as you cut it, but it has a lot of water so it will dissolve fast. You should wait a minimum of 1 to 2 weeks, but I always wait 4.

Did you get the inspiration for the colors from your shirt? It somewhat matched the soap😊. I absolutely LOVED the second loaf cut. Those colors are so vibrant and complement each other well. It's something special about that white mixed with all the colors. This is outstanding!!!

Hello Eric! It would be nice if fragrance oil companies had an option available for you to choose an intense version along with an original version just like perfume companies. Don't you just hate that? There is a mysterious science to making soap. What are some scents that are strong after curing? I'll look for the video if it's on your channel.

Several are strong. Some of the strongest after cure are Apple Sage from Brambleberry, Star Showers from Nurture Soap and Farmhouse Cider from Crafter's Choice. However, that one is the devil to work with in CP soap. I only use it in Hot process, but I do love it.

Hi, and thank you. No, you absolutely DON'T sound like a dummy. With the recent high temps, I haven't been doing the heat transfer method because the hard oils are so soft, I have to add so much ice to make it work. Therefore, I mix the lye and melt the oils the night before and let them sit and cool naturally overnight. I'll resume the heat transfer method in the fall with cooler temps and harder solid oils.
