Sad to learn that after 10 years that Electric cars will eventually break down. Rav4s are great when it’s pure gasoline only. I know that batteries are complicated to deal with according to Scotty Kilmer. They save gas and money, I got to say, but the life expectancy is what makes it difficult. Thanks for sharing. Have an amazing day! 😊

You said to put your foot on the brake but if I put my foot on the brake before I hit the power button it will not let me go into room mode. I have to keep my foot off the break and then hit the power button
@supermodestmouse2 күн бұрын
just curious - if you're using room mode, how long does it take to charge using a fast charger from 0%? i'm just curious if i can actually sit in the car while it charges and use room mode or if its better to leave it and go for a walk

All the racks will fade and rust. This one is well worth the $$. Cut the bolts short and put in the plugs.

This did not work for me. I mounted it on the same spot, but it kept falling off. I made sure to press down on it for 2 mins at install, then wait 24 hours for the adhesive to bind... But, after a little time with my phone on it, it would slowly peel off... not sure if they changed the material on the dash on mine... I have a 2023 Lariat Lightning. I like the idea of the maglite mount and the "wireless" charging... but I went back to my iOttie phone holder...

As long as the same mah are in parralel they can series connect to lower mah parralel series. Bms charge positive groups/ parralel groups. Just keep the parralel cells as close as possible in mah.

Will adding this fix cranking issues, idk why but sometimes I would hold the key and nothing happens for a few seconds then the car starts cranking. It turns on great on the first attempt of the day and as I drive the car through out the day the harder it gets to crank. Any tips?

It would be interesting to compare the cost of internal charge mode vs public charger cost. Comparing the cost of gas vs the public cost of charging. Great video. I own a 2024 RAV4 Prime SE.

I wonder if having a Tonneau Cover on the bed would reduce "drag" and give you better range, so that you don't have to fold in your mirrors? Just thinking

I own a 2015 Nissan Xterra Pro-4X with 110,000 miles. Nothing has broke yet, knock on wood.

Very helpful. The rarely used end of my driveway has forsythias branches which are flexible but otherwise cause the car to brake. So this is incredibly useful--I can now get out of my driveway that way without braking 100 times.

My daily driver for over 10 years is a 66 coupe. The turning radius sucks, but you get used to it. You really should go back to the floating horse in the grill, IDK why they would remove that. You can adjust the tilt of the back part of the seat by folding it forward and you'll see an adjustment point. Not that much help, but you're right into that steering wheel. For safety, you might want to look into shoulder belts. You said "not a fast car", a V8 Mustang should be pretty powerful, if not, plenty of mods you can do to the engine.

Ha, that's the exact same fast charger I used on my first road trip in my Lightning.

Canada models of the rav4 can’t turn the headlights off at night…safety thing I guess…kind of annoying IMO..jealous of the American models

Great tip about the mirrors. I tried it on a 55 mph single lane (each way) road at night and got 2.7 mkwh. Also, on a hands-free blue cruise road section at 75 mph but only 2.0 - 2.2 mkwh at that speed.

We recently brought our Prime in for a recall repair, and when we got it home this had been reset, and the charger was locking. No problem, right? Maybe it just got reset in the menu when they did some work? Nope. Toyota has removed this option entirely. Sadly, this video is now useless and misleading. Not your fault, it's Toyota's.

The Biden Administration has spent BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to install 7 or 8 charging stations, where is all of this money going. They sell crude from the Strategic Oil Reserves, where is all that money going to? Maybe thats how they are passing out all of the cash to Biden's Invaders, just a little food for thought.

I've had an electric vehicle for 5 years. I love the electric drive, but the current battery tecnology is its biggest downfall. I've replaced batteries twice and those batteries lose range over time and in cold weather. My vehicle is a bicycle, but the experice of ownership is enough to dissuade me from buying a battery electric car until batteries take a quantum leap into the future.

I'm pleased that now the Calm screen in my view shows the battery percentage, and that the FordPass app shows the charging speed now in my 2023 Lightning.
