Goku and Vegeta didn’t just train their bodies, they also focused on “ascending,” which is different from power scaling because one produces more results than the other. Unfortunately for future gohan he never envisioned anything past super saiyan and just trained his body.

My other what-if thought with this scenario is if Vegeta and Goku actually have a less antagonistic relationship right off the bat, as seeing Goku's power level and transformation, he knows he's a Super Saiyan and not just a low class warrior, exactly what Vegeta needs to defeat Frieza. Rather than taking a hopeless fight, which may be hard for his pride to accept but he was willing to work for Frieza, so it could happen. He might still try to get the dragon balls and immortality, but if there's a Saiyan warrior capable of defeating Frieza then his stated goal for the dragon balls can be accomplished without them.

In both media the form is called SS Full Power, that's its official name, however the characters still call it SS in the manga as it's most comfortable, just as SSGSS is just called SS Blue. Don't confuse it with the SS that Goku and Gohan had after training for the Cell Games, that's just the Ordinary SS but controlled. The fan specullation is that this SS Full Power is what Goku and Vegeta would have achieved if the original plan for the SS was fully realized after Battle of the Gods, a SS form stronger than even the SS3 but without the drastic changes in appereance, then that would be applied to the SS God and giving us the SS Blue.

For anyone wondering, despite the re-naming of the form, it's still x50, the only problem as seen in the movie is that the user doesn't have control over it so it might seem weaker.
