Don't forget that the none of the female players wanted to freeze her rankings except Sabatini. And this was not an accident.

He conveniently didn't see her hand go up. So he didn't allow for Serena to repeat the 1st serve. What puzzled me however is that he didn't even ASK Justin if she put her hand up. AND Justin....No integrity, how disappointing.

The monster that did this to her is burning in hell right now. As for this strong woman - it is sad that her career ended in such way, but what she did for tennis, everything that she managed to achieve at such a young age, the 9 grand slams that she won, is something most tennis players cant achieve their entire careers. She is always going to be one of the best tennis players of all time!!!

serena served it anyway. tough beans. if the serve goes in serena claims the point.

She truly was the greatest of all time if as a teenager in 1991 she held all 4 grand slams and displaced Steffi Graf as No.1 who currently holds the 3rd highest slams.

The greatest tennis player (men or women) in history. She won her 8th GS when she was just after her 19th birthday. She played in 8 out of the 9 GS finals between '91 and '93. She won 8 out of her GS finals then and lost only in Wimbledon. She won against Graf in three GS finals and lost once in Wimbledon. Graf won 10 GS between 93 and 96 when Seles could have been the best and only 19-22 years old... Btw she was Hungarian, not "Yugoslavian".

It’s egregious and irresponsible that athletic trainers and medical responders are so slow to reach the athlete. This happens in so many matches, with the athlete, even the spectators screaming for someone to help. They should be courtside. Not in the club, or in the locker room. Courtside. It’s shameful.
