Hope they made a controllable DC versions/sizes to suit sump return pump use. Perhaps just updated with low vibration feet.

Ive used the ultra zero for years. Love hate relationship as I felt they always stopped working due to sucking in those super small solids. Excited for this new pump, hopefully it's a bit more durable.

Not sure how I feel about this tank BUT what a unique one it is. The amount of work it must have taken with drilling and Scaping. Bravo 👏 I'm sure when it is full of coral and a mangrove then maybe we will understand his vision. Thanks for sharing!

For sure something everyone should try in a project at least once, can create quite the dynamic flow. We utilize a lot of spray bar systems in our refugiums in the farm! -Blaine

What do they eat after getting rid of the aptasia? I would hate to use them then have them starve to death.

You could always do your best to collect as much of the colony that develops and trade it back in to the LFS or find another local reefer battling this same issue! They have fairly short lifespans regardless though. -Blaine

At 19:49 I see a fish with cloudy eyes?
@MrMatt30513 күн бұрын
Just out of curiosity. I attempted to keep 5 green bubble tip anemones on separate occasions and I’ve checked off every care tip known with all of them dying. 3 local fish stores stated Green BTA allegedly are the worst to keep alive and don’t last. Not sure if this is true because I love the color green and haven’t tried any other color. Is there some kind of truth to this or reason they aren’t in this video?

I see this so much, where you just look at frags, and you want to see what a developed colony of the coral looks like. A frag is an accurate representation of what you're buying, but it's terrible at selling you on what is cool about the coral.
@TopShelfAquaticsКүн бұрын
Glad I could point something out that other reefers agree with! I feel this group of corals is truly misinterpreted when you can only see frags and not a grown out colony! Thanks for dropping a comment! -Blaine

This is super awesome , reef paludarium. The next one you do has to be a rainfall tank that the ATO pumps into raindrops. Can do tropica tissue culture moss in the rock section above the reef that gets rained on via fresh ATO water. You got a new sub sirs

Hey man i dont have a sump. Can i use a 5 gallon bucket with micro algae, use siphon to get the water in the bucket and a little pump to get it back in the display tank ?
@TopShelfAquatics6 күн бұрын
Technically, yes, but you would need to make sure there is light for the algae to grow, and if the water is coming in from the display there should be the needed nutrients for it to grow. An interesting thought, but basically a sump in theory. -Blaine

My man, UV-C light like in a UV sterilizer does not naturally hit the earth and definitely not corals in the ocean. Only artificial sources of it are seen on earth. Other than maybe the form which is made within living organisms. But, that’s a whole other topic ! Lol look up Dr Jack Kruse if you really want to learn about light outside of aquarium wise
@jasonkopack28667 күн бұрын
why did you choose to not install the slide panel under the cabinet? Also only installed one of the wave makers. No ATO?
@TopShelfAquatics4 күн бұрын
We have not started dosing yet so I thought to wait on the side panel for now! Also ATO is added and due to the return pump upgrade we thought the singular gyre would do, but may be seeing an update on that here in the future soon! -Blaine
