Our maremma does that “talking” and she smiles, teeth and gums, I find the “talking” they do with whines and grunts the most fascinating, it’s almost like they’re trying to make words… omg the mind reading is definitely a thing! It’s incredibly amazing and almost supernatural x our dog is a gift from above, I honestly believe that, she’s one amazing soul x

Thank you for this video. I just brought home 2 Akbash Maremma sisters yesterday who are 9 months old. I really needed to hear something positive about having sisters

I've seen things go very wrong with siblings. I think it depends on the breed, upbringing, and most of all how strong of a leader the owner is.

So fun to watch and everyone looks ready for summer. Apache and Geronimo did so well and are now so much smaller 🥰Loved the King David cross paw shot. Such a regal boy💙

Those pinto babies are so much smaller than I think we've ever had babies that age. They are so adorable and they've really settled in, now playing and running around. I love how David crosses his paws too. Several here do it.

I bought 3 month old GP pups about 6 weeks ago and they're dong good, in my opinion. My problem concern is I have a 2 year old Husky that is HYPER than anything. I'm trying to figure out how to introduce them without her distracting them...?? They're now 4 months old... how soon before I can let them roam at night by themselves?
@BigHornMountainAlpacas27 күн бұрын
Hi. I'd introduce them with a fence between them first to see how it goes. For pups that young, I wouldn't let them out roaming all now unless you are sure no predators will get in your fencing to get them.

@BigHornMountainAlpacas27 күн бұрын
Thanks. That's very smart of you. I have a friend who did leave collars on this breed, and tragically one of her dogs died by strangling another when a jaw got hooked on the collar. She is a retired vet and shares the story to educate others about the potential dangers, so I like to mention it.

I have litter-mate Pyr-mixed females that are over 9 years old, and they have been fantastic together! I just got two more female Pyr-Anatolian Shepherd puppies (now 4 months old) that were litter mates, and they are best buds with each other and with the older dogs. They are already showing signs of being good LDG's. Right now I see no problems with same-sex dogs at all.

I also name my animals biblical names. I currently have a Scottish terrier named Caleb and a Sealyham terrier named Justus Acts 1 vs 23. I thought you might like Justus. I used to have Mastiffs growing up but as I’m older now I choose a smaller breed now. The following names are ones I had for my mastiffs this is over my years: Canaan King David Michael Sarah Rebekah Rachael I also had two horses: an Arabian mare I named Rayhab the harlot. I called her Ray as in ray of light. She was breed just before I got her and her colt I named Song of Solomon. All I loved very much. I still have it in my head that I would like to a large breed dog again. Maybe someday unless Maranatha! I enjoy watching your dogs very much and the puppy is gorgeous.
