There are many ways to fence in your dogs and your other animals. This is how we did it. Do what works for you and for the needs that you have with our own dogs. That may mean burying fencing if they dig. Here, that has never been an issue. And remember, for dogs, the biggest thing is you want to always keep them safe. That could mean less acreage for them for now. You can always make their area larger later. And that may mean fencing in a small inner fencing area until you have the funds and time to fence in more of your property.

I look forward to every one of your videos! I am so blessed to have a pyrenees/Shepard guardian dog. He protects our sheep and chickens. He’s over 12 now, so I’m looking for a little brother for him. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful life.

Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I appreciate it! I adopted our new pup from Unega Mountain Dog Rescue in Idaho. I'm not sure how far you are from there, but they get in many wonderful rescue dogs of all ages including pups.

@@BigHornMountainAlpacas I love the runway and privacy shield. And your trees! They are very different trees than I am used to.

Love that you make the extra effort to keep the dogs in. That is an important example to set for people who are new to these wonderful dogs. Most LGD losses are to cars and guns, and a good fence can prevent that. A couple of random thoughts I had watching- A $20 clip bender makes putting t-post clips on a little quicker and easier. It look like you've got enough experience placing clips that a bender may not help you much, but it could save some time on a large job. A post level with straps strong enough to keep it on the post while you are pounding or setting the post is inexpensive and invaluable. I replaced the rubber bands on a post level with velcro, and it stays put now. A recently made a small cattle panel gate with large carabiners. One carabiner near top and one near the bottom are holding a short segment of panel to t-posts. It is not very convenient to use, but I had the carabiners on hand and needed a gate... For a gate I only use once every week or two, it turned out good enough that I will probably keep it, maybe replacing the hinge side with some sort of ring.

Nice introduction to the basics of fencing. While I live in a big city (Denver), there are times post hole diggers and tempers are useful.
