I have one right out the box with idling issues & I can't seem to find the carburetor adjustment tool for it! They changed the adjustment to a smaller spline screw.
@tusheeNaydenovАй бұрын
There is no need for a special tool to adjust idle. A simple (-) screwdriver will help. To increase the idle, turn the "T" half a turn clockwise

All due respect for taking out the carburetor and taking it apart, but making a video with zero explain- ation as to what to spray and not to spray with carb cleaner is a waste of time for viewers. Unless this be a joke video.

Thanks for your video. Can you give me a link of where I can source the pressure pump in the USA for the SR200? Much appreciated
@tusheeNaydenov2 ай бұрын
The part number of the pomp is 42410071006 Every STIHL dealer must order for you, or check in Google for that part number.

Exactly that tool made it myself, but in the husqvarna dealers must have the proper tool to remove the clutch. You can buy or rent from there.

My saw stopped working, so I brought it in and the next morning it was sitting in a puddle of bar oil. Does a bad pump make it stop working as well?

no. the oil pump can not interfere at the proper operation of the engine.

@tusheeNaydenov5 ай бұрын
With that type STIHL carburetor you can't mistake. Fuel line is attached to corpus and when putting the carburetor, it's connect properly.
@dennisperkins19895 ай бұрын
How can you be sure the fuel line connects properly?
@bertfairbrother77454 ай бұрын
I have just changed the carb on mine, I thought the same thing. It starts with taking the carb off actually, after you have taken all the covers off, screws & nuts it seems strange to 'just pull the carb off'.. When you do pull it off, as a precaution just hold the fuel pipe from stretching too much by gently holding it back with a long screwdriver or something similar & the carb & pipe will part very easy. Now when you put the carb back on , just put it back over the two long bolts & line the fuel pipe up with the same tool & push the carb pipe & home over the fuel line, mine went on so easy I thought it would blow it off but it hasn't yet & ive used the saw for about 3 1/2 hrs so far, and its been fine. I hope this helps someone.
@dennisperkins19894 ай бұрын
@@bertfairbrother7745 thanks for your reply it was very reassuring. My original problem was that I had to take the carb and the carb carrier off so that I could replace the wiring loom (the kill switch and the earth lead) it was a really fiddly job, I hope that someone will do a video on it sometime as although my saw works I'm still not sure everything is back in the right place. Wouldn't make a very good surgeon would I. Once again thanks for the advice 🖖

Great video, fair play for explaining so simple and straight to the point! Followed your instructions and saw works great. It also feels much better than the 50cc Chinese equivalent for same low price. Glides through branches compared to them. Even managed some large trunks too, exceeding the 14" blade. Far superior!

The carburetor replacement on this saw is the most aggravating one I have ever done. Once you figure out all the tricks it all makes sense. But till you do you end up with a mess of moving parts that you have to work with. I did learn something from you about the linkage connection. I didn't know that the black plastic piece came apart. The saw that I am working on isn't mine .doing it for a friend. Due to the aggravating work that needs to be done when making repairs I can honestly saw that I can't recommend this saw. It's like working on a Volvo. Thanks for the vid.
