I think you were spot on with your assessment. This it what EVs should be. Range is slightly lacking if you take long trips but at least you can slap a quick 75 additional miles on it. Short of taking the family across country, that probably covers most use cases. On a different note, don't think we've forgotten you owe us a golf outing and jog.🤔

Tacoma and Ridgeline are good cars for a mid-size truck, but both are WAY overpriced!

I test drove a new canyon and drove it to the Toyota dealership. I put both trucks side by side. I didn’t buy either because I take my time, but ruled the Tacoma out. What a piece of junk. Paint horrible- orange peel all over it, tailgate not aligned right. Made in Mexico and the interior felt on the same level as a ford maverick. Back seat is TINY.

Good looking car at a decent price - though everything is expensive at the moment. Personally I’d find 150 KW/H fine but it’s no EV6/ Ioniq 5. A different price for those though? Enjoyed the review. Cheers both.

Being a tall guy,6’5, it’s a hard decision when it comes to finding a proper vehicle that one can fit in comfortably. Not only do I have to take in consideration my comfort but also that of family and friends. Trucks like the Tacoma are great if it’s just you and you don’t do a lot with others then it’s a good truck. Tall people like me like trucks like the Tacoma, but realistically it would be a hard fit. I had for a time a Nissan Frontier, I felt cramped in that thing and it was worse when I had passengers. Most of my friends are average height but even for them it was a tight fit. Maybe companies like Toyota should think about extending the cab a bit. Many people like to keep their vehicles for a long time and will have families growing with it, something to think about

I think the Xtra Cab focus group attitudes carried over into the back seat for this one. Not much emphasis on creature comforts because... SURVEY SAYS, "buyers don't put people in the back seat". Yet, this is true for any sedan, minivan, SUV for 95% of the time. Seems the new 4Runners identical center console could have had its rear vents make their way into the Tacoma platform. Then give the thing a center armrest with cupholders. What sells a vehicle? SURVEY SAYS, "off-road prowess and capabilities." How is the vehicle used? SURVEY SAYS, "getting groceries and utilizing creature comforts."

Acceptable price as long as taxpayers subsidize it. Underwhelming overall. Pretty sure GM will regret using their crummy smartphone interface. And the Big D is Dallas... just saying....

Price, maintenance, & reliability. Guessing at ~150k: What's the cost for R&R of water-cooled manifold unit w/turbo, & wastegate. Not apples to apples, 700hp F150 supercharged v8 is <50k

The new tacos look like a mini tundra, the new sequoia look like a beefed up RAV4. Now, quality. Wow. My family and i have been with Toyota for decades. Owned celicas, MR2 TURBO, multiple Camrys, tacomas (1st gen TRD) and still running, sequoia...fast forward to the newer gens.....🤣🤣 Whats going on here?? Turbos on trucks?! When "overlanding" with all that weight... You dont think a tuebo will over heat and put stress on your power train?! "But cars have turbos!" Absolutely correct! But.. theyre on SPORTS cars. "but theyre on Hiluxs." Yes, that turbo DIESEL." big difference. Toyota, yall dropped the ball with the recent R&D and quality. 50-80K for a truck?! 🤣 Goodnluck people. Get a used pre-covid Toyota. Sorry not sorry for the rant. Correct me if im right.

Let’s be honest tho, most trucks can’t handle being off road anymore. They are basically heavy vans that let your stuff get wet when it rains.

The max any mid sized truck should be in 40K fully loaded. The Tundra or any 1500 series truck max should be 50K. The makers are just robbing people left and right. The only Toyota product they have right is the V8's on the Lexus side and the new Camry

About the dash.. you can fully customize the dash, you can remove the gear and fill that space with 1 of a couple different options. Same with the speedometer info, and the tachometer info. If you want fuel economy, add it in either of those, if you want break controller info, add it in there... it's all customizable.

As someone whos 6'1" 240 pounds and never owned a truck (I previously never could afford one), I test drove a 2022 TRD off road Tacoma and It was just underwhelming and too small and I'm coming from a VW Sedan. When I test drove the new tacoma it felt better in literally every single way, it feels like a modern vehicle.

The screen does bug me a little but I had no choice when I purchased my. I have enjoyed my truck a lot more than my 23 tundra just because is a great off roading vehicle. With the tundra in Moab was rough turning it around. Room in the back your correct I do miss my tundra for that

Why are you messing with the settings while you’re driving? Do you text while driving too? Mess with your settings in the driveway or Walmart parking lot. If you have a family a Tacoma may not be for you. As far as the rear window, I’ve never driven with the rear window open in four years. Screen tech in general is unnecessarily complicated. I do like the larger screen for hitching up my trailer. Can you watch the Super Bowl on that thing?😂. So far I haven’t heard of any major issues with the truck, except for TFL destroying the front diff! When I was at my Toyota dealer for service I saw a Tundra with the cab off for an engine replacement. Reliability is a big reason people buy Toyota. So far with the Tundra they’ve failed. Hopefully they’ve learned from that and the Tacoma will be as reliable as ever. I’ll be ready for a new truck by the time the 2025’s arrive. By then maybe any bugs that arise will be taken care of. I hate wasting my time at the dealer for repairs. Maybe more than you dislike the functionality of that gauge screen!😂

Rear seat lack of room on top of no AC vents in the rear are hard hitting nopes. And MSRP is about $8k-$10k more expensive than it should be. Blame blind brand loyalty for that one. Toyota knows there's an entire market who will pay and gaslight themselves. I'm not saying 24' Tacoma isn't nice, but it's not a $54k truck in the above options. This will easily put the above loadout shy of $60k with hybrid. The Trailhunter and TRD Pro are the only ones they could argue should hold MSRP $55k-$57k.
@mattspaulding748811 сағат бұрын
The settings thing that he’s complaining about. You can literally change lmao. Many more research should be done before. This Tacoma is better than the last in every way. I’ve had 3rd gen and now a 4th gen. Never seen men sound like heckling woman talking about Susan down the street. Like it’s better in every way. Yes it’s over priced. But that won’t change

With no manufacture in mind, there are times when implementation of digital controls and displays are a hindrance to the driving experience. As for the Tacoma, its price and 1200 lb payload capacity are show stoppers for my use. I'm sure that for $55K - I could get a full-size 1/2 ton truck in one of the lower trim level with 4x4 capabilities from either Ford or GM.
