this is a good video showing air tank to compressor add on.but not needed in today's world when all the things he made are cheaper and less trouble to make.for instance the nipple end can be found on any bbq set lots are put on curb and thrown away.also cheap at any hardware store.might be good knowledge to have if SHTF but whole cheaper now and less work.and the stand could be better with it upright and a petcock installed on bottom at 150"something no danger of blowout putting one in. something as simple as a tubeless tire stem just to bleed off condensation.easily installed. good job but lots of wasted effort.

Actually this is wrong to feed tank from bottom because when air comes in water at the bottom splashes inside tank. Also it's better to choose discharge point at top of tank. Thank you

You should clip a KZfaq short out of this and use Paint It Black by The Rolling Stones for the soundtrack

Nice job mate! What bike do you have? I’ve been off the bike for two years and longer for lift service. Hopefully I can work 9n projects like this and get out and do so shredding ✌

I saw this build of yours a few years ago. Now when searching about adding extra tanks I can definitely say this is one of the best build in my opinion. I really like that you put it upside down and mostly that you didn’t grind or welded around the pressure vessel. No extra heating that caused the metal of the pressure vessel to change its original hardness.

Why is 3phase power so hard to get? Why is it so expensive to get?!!

I just about fell of my seat when you said you want the lathe running slowly, that’s incorrect. Rule of thumb for carbide cutter’s is 3 X speed of HSS. That thread should be run around 600 rpm, generally I’m cutting round 870 but I’m a bit rusty

Many of your viewers (me, for instance), have less rigid lathes. If I try to plunge-cut a 1.5mm thread on my seventy year old Myford Super 7, I will end up with a lifetime supply of chatter marks! For lesser beings like us, the 29.5 degree compound slide method is our saviour! Sadly for me, my lathe is also short of its thread-cutting dial... My father bought the lathe when I was five years old, and gave it to me thirty years later, so I know it did not ever have a dial... might be a project for me. 😜 Great video, thank you. It did drive me la-la though; your voice is very familiar, but I could not figure out why! 🥴 As an afterthought... because the Myford has a clutch, I can make a cutting pass, disengage the clutch and withdraw the tool, then wind the carriage back using the handwheel on the leadscrew. This is actually a very quick process, and works great with the 29.5 degree compound, and no threading dial... it's also pretty foolproof. 😛

Propane is heavier than air- so the easiest way to purge propane is to 'turn the bottle upside down' In the last 20 years Ive emptied over 2000 gas bottles without incident. I make wood stoves from gas bottles

I have a power supply with 3 phase 120/208vac input and DC outputs which power fairly substantial DC cooling fans. I'd like to troubleshoot these power supplies on a work bench instead of outside using a generator and praying for good enough weather. My question is would it be safe to use a VFD for this purpose? All I've seen people talking about using VFDs for is AC motors, so I'm a bit concerned it might not work.

3 years on and still waiting for the RPC plans. Are you still going to do them? How is the RPC working all these years on.
@ronblack78703 ай бұрын
you actually should set the compound at 29 1/2 degrees and feed in with the compound. what that does is the threading tool then cuts primarily on one side and only just kisses the other side of the V . this stops the chatter that you get and makes a much smoother thread groove. by feeding in straight both sides of the tool cut steel and as it gets deeper the steel rips rather than cuts. there is a cheat method for how you did it. if you set the compound parallel to the bar you are threading and on every cut when you feed in deeper you also feed slightly towards the chuck on the compound. that accomplishes a similar thing to the 29 1/2 degree method.

Good evening just inquiring whether you could use a VFD to run a syil x7 CNC mill. Or would this cause issues with the LNC 6800 control panel. Cheers PS the spindle motor is 380v 3 phase at 5.5kw I think the rest of the system works off 240v single phase.
