"Pasty with sauce" inject it with some ketchup-that's Aussie style

This new viewer is impressed. We are two these days, also, and just received an InstantPot for Christmas. A little spice does make everything nice for our meals, as well. 👍🏼😊

Rib Eye steaks can’t be beat! I always cook the entire steak in the Air Fryer with a small potato on the side of the basket if there’s room, if not, oh, well…this could definitely be an option…

You should use petit pois, John might like them better. They are smaller and sweeter than normal peas, like the ones you have there!

This made me smile. I cook quite a few things from scratch, but never this (because cranberries just never have been in our holiday feast.) But maybe if we were making sauce from scratch, they would be. 😄 I'm going to give it a try, especially because I make plum puree to keep in the freezer for when I'm feeling puny and unable to cook easy fresh stuff, and that happens to also be incredibly delicious on ice cream. Also, I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but I'm getting major Midwest vibes from you and your kitchen, and it's making me miss home! Keep up the cozy cooking!

Thank you for your lovely comment. I do hope you try the cranberries, they are a favorite, dare I say staple on our T-Day table. My Grandparents are from the Midwest and i was born in Colorado, both of which I miss often. Best to you and Happy Thanksgiving!

great looking dish. Put a clean, damp dish towel under your cutting board to keep it from sliding around, it makes a huge difference.🙂

Thank you for your comment! I normally do use chicken broth when making my rice but this time, since I was using the tomato chicken bullion, it seemed excessive. Try the recipe both ways and let me know which is best! Cheers!

Love that gravy .i used to buy extra gravey from the restaurant. That gravy makes the foo young we're vegetarian, so we use tofu for egg foo young tvp for beef or mushrooms. I loved your gravy its awsome ty for sharing.

Wow great vid and all those pro tips too ! Personally i would leave out the sugar (my mouth is watering as a type this) and i would be careful not to brown the eggs to much as the more you brown the more you change the flavor , some people like that but i'm more of a egg flavor purest. That sauce looks sooo yummy too !

bacon takes off the factory seasoning
@LordStanley942 жыл бұрын
No it doesn’t. Who told you this? Bacon grease, beef suet, lamb suet, butter, ghee, all contribute to the seasoning.
@jstones98722 жыл бұрын
@@LordStanley94 i cooked bacon in my new Finex and it definitely took OFF the factory seasoning. I know what i saw happen. I wouldn't recommend bacon as a first cook to anyone.
@LordStanley942 жыл бұрын
@@jstones9872 So, what would you use? I used bacon on all my cast iron and it was fantastic.
@jstones98722 жыл бұрын
@@LordStanley94 i use avocado oil and potatoes . Switched from flaxseed as the smell was too much. Avocado oil works really well. Once there is some seasoning on its fine to cook bacon, but as a first cook no thanks
@LordStanley942 жыл бұрын
@@jstones9872 Interesting. I would never season any cast iron with FO, as it peels/flakes with time. When I receive my FINEX I will rinse it out first. Then, I will gently heat it up on the stove top and season it with Grapeseed Oil and then place it in the oven at 350 for 45 minutes. Do this 3-4 times. Then you use it in any way.
