I would know I was about to start the vacation of my dreams when I saw all the tow floats and swim gear hanging up to dry. I would know I was in heaven when I saw the box of warm croissants on the beach during a sunrise swim. Tbh… all of this looked like swimming heaven, and heaven’s cafeteria to me. Isn’t it amazing just how much swimming enhances our lives?!? Thanks for sharing all the fun times, the beautiful scenery, and the cake and pizza too!! Ⓜary💦🏊‍♀🇨🇦

Hi Rach, thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to show this step by step. I have just got my kit, and do not have a particularly clear diary over the next few days, so having the benefit of seeing your first 3 days has really crystallised my thinking of which day to pick to actually start the test. The study is quite pricey, so I was feeling the pressure of the unknown, and wanted to ensure I got it right. It was great to be 'led by the hand' so to speak to see you go through it all. I am really pleased from your part 4 video that the results you had hoped for, in having more energy have come through for you, and hope that this has continued well for you since then. I really enjoy your personality and communication skills, so thank you for putting yourself out there, and making the videos. Well done.

Thank you for this video. I recently had a panic attack whilst in a lake. I was swimming back towards our boat when a larger boat passed by and caused a wake to smack me in the face and caused me to take a gulp of water. I started to panic, my body froze, and luckily my buddy was closeby to keep me afloat long enough for someone to throw a life vest for me to relax on and get my breathing back in order.
@EverydayAthleteRach
@EverydayAthleteRach 25 күн бұрын
That sounds really frightening. I hope it hasn't put you off getting in the water. You might like to think about swimming with a tow float which you can rest holding on to if you have another panicky moment.

Aww Rachel my friend lovely to see you - you are just blooming brilliant! The smile on your face as you had that gorgeous looking swim and your free spirit nature to walk down the road in your cossie in case of other opportunities - did you find any? You are an inspiration for doing that. Also as it was a hot day, did you find cossie dried as you walked? Hope comfortable if so - lovely to sun dry clothes rather than tumble them but crumbs! They go so totally rough that one could file their nails on the fabric 😂😂

@@EverydayAthleteRach , I'm in Central Texas. My favorite spot to take a winter dip in the lake has plenty of sawtooth blackberry. It flowers in February/March. Looking through my photos, I see unripe berries mid April. We have so many deer here, that it can be a bit difficult to find a fully ripe blackberry - but the few I've managed to forage have been very sweet.

Just the enjoyment of improving and gradually being more at one with the water. Love swimming in the changing seasons and being outside. Getting to the stage of embracing and feeling the water and being relatively effortless. Working with it rather than fighting it. Beautiful feeling when everything in sync and slipping through the water. Perversely enjoy going upstream more, and easy to gauge progress against riverbank 😊
