I have a pair of these that are over 20 years old. Ive used them for mountain biking, much of it on the east coast of the US with lots of stumps and rock gardens. They look ROUGH but still perform flawlessly. I still use them for mountain biking, as my only pedal on my only bike.

I just got back from a 4 day 75k hike and it does the job. One of the main features I like about the backpack is that there's a zip that allows you to get quickly into the entire bag and then it zips up the entire bag again. It's not the best backpack it's definitely a budget backpack in terms of comfort but it does a job for most people.

It's true at the moment they are aimed at the premium market. I hope that could change, I'd like to see a competitor against quadlock to offer more reasonable prices for the rest of the mass market. 😉

Idk if theres a 10spd variant of the ignite but mine was strange. When I'm in the heaviest gear, i can swing the lever in until i hear a single click and the derailleur moves to a lighter gear so that technically means it can support 10spd. So I bought a 10spd cassete and tested it. And suprisingly it works *kinda

If you have a car and your looking for an alternative mode of transport, it's definitely worth considering. If you want to carry a lot of weight on the bike but move around like your riding a carbon road bike, it's worth it. For people with injuries, disabilities or recovery from surgery it's a game changer. If you have solar panels, it's a no brainer to also have an e-bike! 😉 I still ride it as normal without assistance cause I love the sport of cyclin as well!

I would have carried over 6L of water. Also, for heat, discover powdered gatorade. Picking the absolute hottest time of the year places a premium on acclimatizing to the heat. Meaning, be out in it, exercising gently, plenty of water and salty food available, light colored cotton shirt, wide hat.

Thanks a lot for this tutorial, which I found only after I discovered most of this by myself... ;) But your longer experience on My Maps might give me a clue to solve recent problems I experienced using My Maps : I've created itineraries, using both importing some kml files from other sites (Waymarked trails...) and creating my own lines with the line tool. And it was weird because, for a while I could only modify the lines I created, but not the imported files. And then suddenly, I could modify SOME (not all) imported files, but could not modify one of the lines I created myself. Do you have any clue of what happened, or what I did wrong ??? (and how to solve the matter). Also you mentionned (but maybe you brought answers on some other videos) the possibility of "fusing" several itineraries into one. Is that possible on My Maps, or do I have to use another software to do that ? Thanks for your help.

Hello there. Honestly it's been quite some time since I've been working with route planning apps like this. I recommend these videos I made which might provide you with some useful information? - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h7OGeqphnsmzmKs.htmlsi=Fr7-MVXxFySUnsgF - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pNScZLqUu6uccas.htmlsi=KP8EFuCweFh3ZOxp Also checkout this website for combining GPX files. - gpx.studio If possible I recommend avoiding using MyMaps for the planning custom lines. I only use MyMaps as a free way to display my maps on my website and on any phone running Google Maps. Otherwise there are many other alternatives to MyMaps for the route planning part. That being said you can use MyMaps and it gets the job done.

@TheOneGoodRoad Thanks for your response anyway. I found the origin of the problem, and it seemed to be the number of points. I started using some other websites to modify/cut/fusion my itineraries, and it now seems to be OK 👍!@@TheOneGoodRoad

I used Sensah Ignite Shifters with Shimano Sora front und rear derailleur and wasn't too happy with the performanse. No matter what I tried, I ciuld never make the front mech to work perfectly with the shifters. It was always rubbing the cage of front deraileur on last 2 speeds and when I set it up not to rub on last 2 speeds, then it was rubbing on first two speeds. It is doable to make it work but if you seek perfection from shifting like I do, you'd better use Shimano with Shimano components. That is why I swappped the shifters for Sora and now it works flawlessly. I order the Ignite deeaileurs and I plan to use it for building anothet bike with Sensah shifters Other than that I am also impressed with Sensah. Build quality, performanse of rd etc. I use Sram on my other bikes and it is hard to tell if Sram is actually any better than Sram but is of course much more expensive.
@TheOneGoodRoad
@TheOneGoodRoad Ай бұрын
Yes I have found this dilemma. But one work around I found is you make the 3rd click the adjustment you need to push the front mech further out, then it rubs far less. But is it a big job to get the shifting to work flawlessly. But for the price point you literally can't find better, even 2nd hand shifters aren't near this price point. They work well enough for my needs 😉
@Toretto16
@Toretto16 Ай бұрын
@@TheOneGoodRoad Yeah, you got the point., 80 or 90% of normal causual riders won'/t even norice rhis small rubning in last two gears. I am pretty much obssesed with perfection and that is why I decided to swap for Shimano Sora shifters. Nevertheless, I am pretty much convinced that Sensah shifters will work absolutely perfect with Sensah deraileurs. I will build the bike for my wife with Sensah components so I will test it from the first hand.

I'm having the same issue with my shifter. Ignite + Tiagra 4600 = rubbing on low or high. Have you built the other bike you mentioned using the Sensah FD? Any difference?
@hugosantana7253
@hugosantana7253 17 күн бұрын
After some research, I learned that the Claris R2000 and Sora R3000 FD have a different pull rate cable (1.4 vs 1.7), so the shifter pull more cable than the shifter needs to. It's the same as Tiagra 4700, GRX and 11s FD. So you'll need an FD that uses the old pull rate for it to work properly, such as the Sensah one. For my case, probably it's due the cage width. Funny that I've never had this issue with MTB FD. I used 11s FD with 9S chain for a long time with any issues at all. Maybe there are tighter tolerances in Road parts.

@@TheOneGoodRoadThere are 4 positions. Two for shifting and two for trimming (it moves the derailleur slightly to stop chain rubbing). It will not work with 3 chainrings.

After turn screen... map does not change.

I've had one unit sent out to replace another unit and they honoured the request. Caution though that this is a new company and I'm sure they will iron out their details in the future with further refinements just like many other companies in this sector. The app lets you invite friends to participate in the map creation process and allows you to interact with friends within the map itself.
