At first I was very skeptical because there was only a little slip of room after I removed the rubber piece; however after I took the car for a spin, I was blown away with the effect that it made. I was mostly going for sound (and slightly better breathability) and your DIY video really helped! Thank you so much!

Any tips on how to wash a 1.5 L engine without the cover?

I highly recommend to use 1/4 ratchet due to not enough space in engine room.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick fix. I read a user comment elsewhere that you don't even have to pull off the panel (correct). You can reach in behind, wiggle the wires gently to make sure you have the correct switch (the switch wobbled around), gently push in the clips and push the parking sensor out. And there really is a spare bulb on the underside of the switch. Fixed in five minutes for $0 this time.

Do you need to relearn the map sensor , clear code or just simple replace

The sad thing is on the V6 Hondas around that year, like the Honda Pilot, the switch is located up on the topside near the fuel injectors and under the throttle body...and guess what it likes to do? The threads strip out with the sending unit removal and a new sender won't go back in because there is no thread to grab. I have a 2011 and this is my problem. I found that there is thread past the stripped out part the sensor cannot grab(the o-ring helps seal the sensor off with it going snug against the block), so I put teflon tape on a bolt the same thread and size long enough to reach the thread with an o ring on it and it sealed it off to be drivable again. I just got in a brass male 10m 1.25 to 10m 1.25 female adapter that looks long enough to reach the threads, so I hope to have the sensor back installed to get the check engine light off.

Just want to point out for anyone that has a door with an actuator that’s going/that has gone AND a rear hatch that won’t open either, don’t buy actuators for both of them. Fix the door first, then check the rear hatch. The rear hatch won’t open unless all of the other four doors unlock successfully. The rear hatch actuator might be totally fine, as soon as the door is fixed

After returning core, did this in 4 hours for $300. Happened to be a surprise while I was out of town - could've ordered from RockAuto to cut cost to $200. Great video! One tip I found when reinstalling the alternator, don't tighten everything down at first. Doing the bracketed (lower right) side first helped get it seated correctly.

What's the deal with those backer plates? The old pads you removed didn't have them. Did they come with the new pads or something? Thanks.

How did you determine the correct amount of oil to add?
om the pad that metal tab is that just a feeler for when the pad gets low? and does it matter which side its on?
@MrRangerZr19 күн бұрын
When the pads get to the level of the tab it'll screech when you hit the brakes letting you know it's time to change the brakes. Orientation does matter.
