Tried looking around to find out all the possible outcomes for Solomon Reed in all the endings... As I genuinely like him as a character wanted some kind of continuation of his story. I got the help Reed and kill Songbird ending. From the convo he has it sounds an awful lot like Reed could leave the FIA and just go his own path. Even jokes becoming a Merc like Morgan Blackhand as an option. Something that I’ve found interesting. From what I could find seems this ending for him is rather unknown as I don’t think we have any future interactions later in the game after the basketball court. Saw there was an ending call he gives where he says he’s in Dayton. Which sounded like he was traveling so I think that’s the call for this particular ending I got. With that in mind, I decided to keep him around. As I genuinely saw no reason for him and V to just ghost and never speak again. They’d gone through a lot together and lost a lot of close friends. Particularly me since I had a custom character named Orion who was helping V in the background. He was a Netrunner who was helping V when they broke into the Black Sapphire. Everything was going smooth until Orion had intercepted some Transmissions and uncovered something big. Song would find out about him and alert Hanson at the Party about it as Orion risked her plans particularly. To which Hansen Swiftly sent a kill squad on him in which Orion was killed off. I used Hanson letting V and Reed leave the Sapphire as part of the justification. Cause that way Hanson could basically be pulling a power move saying “I’m letting you go but that doesn’t mean unpunished”. Also added more depth to the V vs Hanson fight then just Alex alone which I liked. But yeah, after everything and if Reed truly left the FIA. I just don’t see why him and V couldn’t stay in contact. So I’m making it where Reed does take V’s offer to work as a Merc in the Afterlife at least for a little while. This will give him time to heal from songbirds loss and enable some more time between him and V. Near the end of the game, I’ll have Reed decide to leave NC to travel for a bit in order to find himself. I liked this ending as it gives Reed a chance to start over and outside the FIA. Despite losing so many friends along the way. He and V can bond over their shared grief and despite it. Live on with their memories in mind.

My ride occured at night. Added a bit of transcendence to it, going to the highest point, see the lights of NC, and hear Johnny happily yelling into my ear on drops... Somehow it makes you forget about killing, stealing, highjacking cars, and just enjoy the life.

Nora is such an underrated badass for looking Ellie straight in the eye and affirming that she is completely comfortable with her participation in ending Joel’s life after what he did to the fireflies/ the world more generally. Even if she does still hear his screams. Nora can look back from her perspective and feel somewhat okay with herself, in a way that Ellie almost certainly can’t.

Dina has one of the funniest lines in the game and Ellie didn’t even bother to laugh. What she says next is awful, but that little moment there before it where Dina was trying to soften the shock and reconnect, and Ellie just blows past it. Ouch. She doesn’t even see Dina in that moment.

I forget that V is also a dude lol 😂 I really do love female V voice actor !!!!

This very clip convinced me to try the game again after I got frustrated with the Silverhand stuff... Though never seriously considering self-deletion...I was on hard times. Doubting everything I was and everything I knew. But seeing this showed me that this game really is trying to speak to people on a whole other level. And giving the game another go, and getting a pretty good ending...it felt good. Felt like all the trouble was worth it in the end, and believe it or not it rubbed off on me IRL You can make a difference. In fact, just by existing and doing right by the ones you love, you are making a bigger impact than any corporation, and single piece of technology, and bigger than any legend you know. You can quit, too, sure. But you have no idea how much you mean to people. Don't give up. Because you will absolutely shatter people's hearts. It's worse than the so-called "Soulkiller". Stay in the game. Try to live for others. It's worth the risk and you may find it pays off more than any scheme, any gig, any piece of tech. That's what I got out of this game. I'll never forget it CDPR. <3
