Edey should start, cmon now?!? I would be more open to not starting smart and putting Santi at the 3, but I think smart deserves to start. Santi is a great off the bench 4 or 5.

I would be more open to starting Santi if he was playing the 3, but as they mention Smart will be starting. I also think it’s better to have Smart starting than coming off the bench. When he’s with Ja, Bane, Jaren, he knows his role is off ball. You get him out with the backups and he’s gonna think he should have the ball

Jaren at power forward is the best version of JJJ. Not Center. He’s not a good rebounder, he’s a great help defender and we only saw him at center so much because he was the only uninjured starter for at least half of the season and showed he can score a bunch on the inside… but he scored a bunch inside from driving from the perimeter. He’s a decent shooter, he needs to be spreading the floor and he’s a little too small to not be a good rebounder and justify him being down there and banging bodies with jokic, embiid, Davis, holmgren and Wembenyama. He’s most comfortable at the 4 position, just let him play his most comfortable position.

Vince should be the starter. He's not someone who is ball dominant and can defend the best player from the 1-3 spots. Still thinking Jaren should be this team's starting center is MADNESS.

No way. Marcus smart is one of the best and most versatile on ball defenders of all time. He had his most efficient season playing alongside Kyrie in the Boston backcourt.

😅 Grizzlies should thank the NBA for cheating Victor out of his DPOY award, because now they fina make it up to him by giving it to him for the next 7yrs.

what are you talking about?? Jaren won it 2 years ago before victor was even in the league. Rudy Gobert was DPOY this last season during Victor’s rookie year. How did the irrelevant 2024 Grizzlies have any effect at all on the Rudy, Victor, and Anthony Davis defensive player of the year award?? Also, PS Joe. Jaren at power forward is the best version of JJJ. Not Center. He’s not good rebounder, he’s a great help defender and we only saw him at center so much because he was the only uninjured starter for at least half of the season and showed he can score a bunch on the inside… but he scored a bunch inside from driving from the perimeter. Having to make your shots, or you get benched is stressful. If he can get in a grove(and stop foul baiting), I think it will push him into 🇪🇸 Santi. He's obviously better than he's playing. Definitely not a starter

Speaking of defense - think about a 2nd unit Smart, V Williams, GG, Clarke & (I prefer) Huff. That's a great defensive unit that has the ability to score. Why play with an eight man rotation when you can two units that will give people a rest during the regular season.

I honestly don't fear or miss Melton, Anderson, Tillman, Tyus or Brooks or any of those brick shooters. I did get a little worried when Adams lefted. But Edey is bigger and more talented. Those guys were mostly defenders. We are better offensively because of these guys replacements.

Easily for me Steve and Dillon are the duo that gives us the biggest challenge between the choices. My crazy take for the season is a healthy Adams played correctly puts Houston in the playoffs as he can elevate Houston the same way he elevated us. Will be interested to see how him and Senguin are played. With that for me honestly I don’t care about seeds.. I only care about making the playoffs healthy.

He is physical and has great size and he is young. I hope Jemison is signed to the Hustle on a G league contract.
